Cucumber variety Director (F1)

The director is a medium-early ripening cucumber hybrid bred by specialists from the Dutch agricultural firm Nunhems B.V.. In 2013, it was included in the state register of plants of the Russian Federation. Approved for use in the North Caucasus region (the republics of Crimea, Adygea, North Ossetia-Alania, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Chechen, Kabardino-Balkaria, Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories, Rostov Region). Designed for outdoor cultivation, but also works well in greenhouses.

Parthenocarpic variety, female type of flowering, marketable. Suitable for the first and second turn. The ripening period is 42 - 45 days.

Plants are indeterminate, medium-sized, strongly branched, vegetative-generative type. Leaves are dark green in color, medium in size. In one leaf axil there are 2 - 3 female flowers. The recommended planting density of the Director variety is 3 - 3.3 plants / square meter in the first turn and 2.5 - 3 plants / square meter in the second turn.

Cucumbers are medium lumpy, have an elongated cylindrical shape. The mass of the greenery is 65 - 80 grams, the length is average (9 - 12 cm). The skin is thin, dark green, with short, subtle light stripes. Pubescence of medium density, white color. The pulp is greenish, slightly crunchy. No voids are formed in fruits. The average yield of marketable fruits is 250 - 360 c / ha, which is at the level of Vertin's standard; maximum (with irrigation) - 392 c / ha, which exceeds the result of Vertina by 108 c / ha. Fruit collection is carried out every other day.

The variety is salad. The palatability of the fruit is good and excellent.

This hybrid is characterized by high shade tolerance and field disease resistance. Recovers quickly from damage. It gives a lot of stepchildren that need to be removed in a timely manner so as not to load the root system and increase productivity.
