Pepper variety Gogoshar (Gogoshary)

A tomato-shaped variety of peppers with a medium ripening period. It grows on compact standard bushes, reaching a height of no more than 50 cm, a width of no more than 45 cm.

Rounded, four-chambered fruits have a ribbed surface and reach a mass of 80 - 130 grams. In technical maturity they have a green color, in biological maturity they are dark red. The pulp of the fruit reaches a thickness of about 7 millimeters and has a bitter taste, while one of the slices may have a slightly pungent taste.

Gogoshary belongs to the heat-loving varieties of pepper and therefore they are grown mainly in the middle and southern lane. Seedlings should germinate in a warm place at a temperature of 25 - 26 degrees, not observing the temperature even by five degrees leads to the fact that the peppers begin to significantly lag behind in growth. Gogoshars need picking, although the seedlings go through this procedure hard, eventually a more powerful root system is formed and the plant is rapidly gaining growth. Gogoshars do not like changing places, so it is better not to rearrange the seedlings anywhere.

When planting in the ground, you should be very careful with the roots and leaves. Also, Gogoshars do not like bush formation and pinching. Peppers need organic fertilization. Top dressing is not required, the plant does not tolerate them well, in some cases you can even burn young peppers.

After planting this variety in the ground, you should not pick off the first peppers, this slows down the formation of new ones. Warm conditions and timely watering are imperative. Otherwise, the peppers will not develop well.

This pepper was grown a couple of years ago. I will say that the variety has very beautiful, unusual-shaped fruits with a thick juicy wall, which gives them, let's say, salad properties. With regard to growing conditions, peppers of the Gogoshar type do not have any special differences from any plant, that is, they like feeding: when the vegetative mass grows, nitrogen is needed, during flowering - phosphorus, and for the formation of large tasty fruits - potassium. We carried out foliar feeding every 2 weeks, as a result, on average, 3 - 3.5 kg of fruits were collected from one bush per season.

The main advantage of this pepper is its thick-walled, fleshy fruits. They are suitable not only for salads, but also for winter preparations. Most of all I like Gogoshars marinated with honey. And also, we bake it on a grill over coals, peel it and roll it into jars. By the way, the peel of the peppers is quite thick and dense.

The fruits are red and yellow. They can be plucked brown, in a warm place they reach.

It is important to buy seeds from trusted producers. One year I bought the re-pollinated seeds. The fruit looked as usual on the outside, but tasted bitter. I had to use them for adjika.

This variety needs potassium supplementation more than others. I was convinced of this experimentally, after all, for several years of growing Gogoshar. In our climate, peppers cannot be grown without seedlings. I sow seeds in the second half of February. I keep boxes with seedlings in a warm place, I highlight the seedlings.

I think that the variety is not bad, but you shouldn't be limited only to it. To date, many new decent varieties of sweet peppers have been bred, there is plenty to choose from.

I have been growing these peppers for a long time, mainly for the collection and because of their unusual shape. They are beautiful, yes, but I do not like using them for blanks, other, even peppercorns, it is much faster and easier to clean. In addition, this variety has an active concentrated taste, it is better to eat it fresh, and for cooking it is better to pre-scald it so that the active pepper spirit becomes more delicate. Good for grilling, especially ripe, bright red. Due to its dense skin, it bakes well, it makes an excellent salad with fragrant oil.
I do not use additional agricultural techniques, I did not notice any special requirements for this variety. It responds well to the usual dressings for peppers, loves light, warmth and timely watering. To balance the temperature, I use "thermal batteries" from 1.5 liter dark water bottles. I noticed that it works.
