Shorokshary pepper variety

Shorokshary or Shorok-balls is an early-ripening variety of sweet pepper, the growing season from germination to the appearance of ripe fruits is 110-125 days. The bush is compact, up to 65 cm high, not very spreading, leaves are medium in size. Fruits are cubic in shape with prominent sectors, in technical ripeness of dark green color, in biological ripeness - orange-red. They can weigh up to 150 g, wall thickness up to 9 mm. The pulp is firm, crispy, juicy, with a characteristic peppery taste and aroma. The variety is high-yielding, up to 20 fruits can ripen on one bush. Planting scheme - 4-5 plants per square meter. The fruits can be used fresh or preserved. The Shorokshary variety is valued for its taste, yield and high resistance to most diseases of peppers, including top rot of fruits.

Agrotechnics

Seeds should be planted in the second half of February, after pretreating them with a solution of copper sulfate or potassium permanganate, in a small container. It is advisable to plant 2-3 pieces. In the case of germination of all seeds in the container, the most powerful plant is selected, others are removed or transplanted into other containers. The germination rate of fresh seeds reaches 85%. A pick (transplant) should be carried out after the plant has five true leaves.

Pepper is transplanted to a permanent place of growth when the average daily temperature reaches 13-15 degrees, this is approximately mid-May. Shorokshary pepper gives a good and stable yield both in greenhouses and in the open field. 10 days after transplanting into the garden, the plants must be fed with phosphorus-nitrogen fertilizers (1 heaped tablespoon per 10 liters of water). As the pepper grows, all the lower leaves are removed before the first division of the trunk. Flowers are also removed from the fork (in case you want to get seed, one flower is left at the first fork and seeds are collected from the ripe fruit).

With mass flowering, the plant must be fed with phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. So that the inflorescences do not fall off and fruit set occurs en masse, the pepper is treated with 1 solution of boric acid or borax on the leaf. When growing pepper, you should not forget about constant watering and loosening the earth. To increase the rate of growth and ripening of the set fruits, it is necessary to break off all the flowering tops of the plant.

Harvesting usually takes place at the end of August. Ripe fruits are folded into boxes and placed in a dark and cool place, where they can be stored without changing the appearance and taste for more than 2 months.

I have been growing this variety for the third year already, I am satisfied with the yield, I planted all my friends on this pepper. So far, no one has complained. One plant gives on average about 10 fruits, usually they have time to fully ripen during the season. The most important thing, when the fruits are set, do not forget to carry out foliar feeding with microelements. It is enough to spray with 1-2% salt solutions on the sheet. This pepper is very sensitive to a lack of moisture and should be watered frequently. About storage, usually a month is stored without problems, I don't know anymore, for a reason - everything is simply eaten up during this period. I like the taste - sweet, very juicy and crunchy.
