In 2001, the variety was added to the state register of the Russian Federation. Recommended for use in the Central region (Bryansk, Vladimir, Ivanovsk, Kaluga, Moscow, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tula regions).

Plum Fruits Morning are above medium and large size (average weight 20 - 30 g, the largest specimens reach 40 g), medium one-dimensionality, oval in shape, with an oval top and an oval base. According to the main color, the fruits are greenish-yellow, the integumentary color is expressed from the sunny side in the form of a pink blush. The skin is not pubescent, covered with a medium waxy bloom. The abdominal suture is poorly developed, but clearly visible. The funnel is shallow. The appearance of the fruit is good. Peduncles are of medium length. The separation of the fruit from the stalk is dry. The seeds are free, medium-sized (weighing 1.7 g, which is 6.5% of the total weight of the fruit), rounded-oval, well behind the pulp.

The pulp is yellow, with a rich aroma, juicy, very pleasant sweet and sour taste; pulp consistency - fine fibrous, medium density and sugar content. On a 5-point tasting scale, the overall taste of the variety is rated at 4 points. The chemical composition of the fruits is as follows: dry matter - 14%, free acids - 2.21 - 2.5%, the amount of sugars - 8 - 8.27%, ascorbic acid - 16 mg / 100 g. A variety of universal use (fresh, various types of processing, freezing), jam is especially tasty from it. Fruit transportability is good.

Flowering takes place in medium terms (May 12 - 20). Fruits ripen early (7-14 August), they do not ripen at the same time. Ripe fruits are difficult to distinguish from immature ones.

Plum Early morning: the trees begin to bear fruit in the 4th - 6th year. Fruiting is fairly stable - every fourth year is poor. The average yield of the variety is above average: 15 kg / v. or 120 kg / ha (data for 1995 - 2000). The maximum yield reaches 30 kg / der. The trees have a life span of 21 years.

Winter hardiness of the variety is reduced: in severe frosts, shoots and branches are moderately affected, flower buds are strongly affected. In spring frosts, damage to flower buds is weak. However, trees recover well after freezing. Drought resistance is average. The incidence of diseases (clasterosporia, fruit rot) is weak (0.5 - 1 point), by pests (moth, aphid) - average (2.5 - 3 points).

Plum variety Morning

The variety is highly self-fertile, so you don't have to think about finding a pollinator. However, it is a good pollinator for many self-fertile varieties, such as Smolinka. High self-fertility allows this plum to give good yields even in years with bad weather conditions.

The variety is suitable for production, but not suitable for intensive gardening.

Among the main advantages of the Morning plum: early ripeness, self-fertility, relative resistance to diseases, regularity in fruiting.

The main disadvantage is the reduced winter hardiness of flower buds.
