Tomato variety Azhur (F1)
Agrofirm SeDeK is well known in Russia. The breeders of this company presented tomato growers with more than one variety with remarkable characteristics. But hybrids from this manufacturer have much more valuable qualities. One of them is the Azhur tomato. The application for registration of the novelty was submitted in 2005, after 2 years it was entered into the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation with admission in all regions of Russia. Recommended for growing in open (Astrakhan region, Krasnodar region, Central regions of Russia) and closed ground (Ural, Siberia and the Far East) of personal subsidiary plots. It is a hybrid, therefore it has the mandatory F1 marking.
Description
The plant is of a determinate type, looks moderately spreading and very decorative, confirming its name. Height 70 - 80 cm, but not higher than 90 cm. The stem of the variety is powerful, internodes are short. Shoot formation is moderate, foliage is good. The leaves of a tomato are of the usual type, dissected into lobes, with a well-pronounced venation, of a dark green color. A large leaf plate Azhura reliably shelters the fruits from the scorching sun. Yellow flowers are collected in a simple inflorescence. Up to 5 fruit brushes are formed on the main trunk, 2 - 3 brushes can additionally develop on stepsons. In each of them, up to 5 - 6 ovaries are formed. The peduncle is articulated. Thanks to the thick stalk and large fruits, the brush looks quite powerful.
Azhura fruits are of regular flat-round shape, smooth. An unripe tomato is green, as it ripens, it turns into a red-crimson color, the color is uniform, there are no spots near the stalk. The skin is firm, glossy and shiny. The pulp of the variety is juicy, fleshy, moderately dense, without voids, the number of seed nests is 4 - 6. Due to the balanced content of sugars and organic acids, the taste is excellent, reminiscent of varietal tomatoes. The usual mass of tomatoes is 220 - 240 grams, but sometimes 400-gram specimens also ripen. 100 grams of pulp contains about 5% dry matter.

Agrotechnics
The Azhur hybrid is very unpretentious, so a novice gardener may well comprehend the basics of agricultural technology with this particular variety. You can sow seeds directly into the ground, waiting for the return frost to pass, and the temperature does not drop below 15 ° C. But the seedling method is more profitable and economical. For seedlings, seeds are sown in March - April, depending on climatic characteristics. In the south, or during subsequent cultivation in a greenhouse, this procedure is performed a little earlier - in mid or late February. Tomato seedlings are grown in the usual way. Before planting in the ground, hardening is carried out. Seedlings ready for transplanting must be at least 55 days old. The recommended density is 4 plants per square meter. Despite the fact that the garter is not mandatory for this variety, experienced tomato growers still recommend it. This will save the bush from lodging when the crop begins to ripen. To collect the maximum number of tomatoes, you can form a plant in 3 - 4 stems, carrying out partial pinching. The culture does not need frequent watering, but they are necessary in dry periods. The rest of the care is normal.
Azhur shows remarkable results in a regular garden bed and in a greenhouse. Productivity, with proper agricultural technology, is impressive, the taste does not fail, tomatoes can be used in their natural form or processed. Add to this good resistance to any weather conditions, excellent immunity and unpretentiousness. The result is an almost perfect variety. The only pity is that plants grown from self-collected seeds will disappoint you. Therefore, the seed will have to be purchased annually.
