Kandoba. In 2008, the variety was entered in the State Register of Russia and received admission for cultivation in all regions of the country. The tomato is recommended for growing in open ground and under film shelters in personal subsidiary plots. Not a hybrid.

For some reason, some gardeners believe that our hero has another name - Fun. Yes, this variety was also offered to the court of vegetable growers by the firm "Aelita". And their fruits are outwardly similar. But Zabava is an independent species, and it was registered in the State Register later - in 2013.

Description

The ladies' man is an indeterminate, tall plant. The tomato reaches a height of 1.6 - 1.8 meters, sometimes higher. The stem is strong, the shoot-forming ability is moderate, the foliage is good. The leaves are large, of the usual type, slightly corrugated, dark green. The inflorescence is of an intermediate type. Up to 8 ovaries can form in the brush, but as a result, only 3 - 5 ovaries will develop. The peduncle is articulated.

The fruits of the variety are smooth, dense, cylindrical in shape, with an elongated tip resembling a spout. Many tomato growers call the form peppery. The skin is thin, but firm, glossy. Unripe tomato is green, without a spot at the stalk, when ripe it turns red. The pulp of the Ladies' Man is very fleshy, tender, due to the increased dry matter content, it does not release liquid when cut and does not lose its shape. There are only 2 seed chambers, they are small and contain a small amount of seeds. Sometimes there is criticism of the voids formed inside, although they are very small. The sweet taste is complemented by subtle sourness. The State Register described the taste as excellent. The variety does not belong to large-fruited, the State Register indicates the mass of tomatoes from 45 to 60 grams, which corresponds to the weight declared by the originators.

Characteristics

• Ladies' man belongs to mid-season varieties. From the moment of emergence of full shoots to the beginning of ripening, on average, about 110 days pass. More precise adjustments, of course, are made by the weather and growing conditions;
• the yield of marketable fruits under film shelters is 10 kg per 1 square meter, both the originators and the State Register unanimously declare such indicators. Vegetable growers talk about more modest indicators;
• after variety trials, our hero showed good resistance to fusarium wilt, verticillosis and tobacco mosaic virus, as stated by the originator. But due to the fact that the bush in the greenhouse bears fruit until the frost, towards the end of the growing season, cases of cladosporium disease were noted;
• a distinctive feature of the variety is its high adaptation to adverse conditions during cultivation. Regardless of where the tomato grows, in open or closed ground, in any weather the variety showed stable fruit setting;
• also noted the high resistance of the fruits of the Ladies' man to cracking and damage to the top rot, even in conditions of high humidity;
• the transportability of the crop is very good, the presentation is not lost even after long transportation. Keeping quality is excellent - after picking tomatoes, they can be stored for another 4 weeks without losing their taste and marketability;
• the way of use is universal. Salads are prepared from tomatoes, thanks to their suitable shape and mass, they are used in whole-fruit canning, high-quality tomato products are prepared, and frozen.

Agrotechnics

It is best to grow the variety in seedlings.It is advisable to calculate the time for sowing the seeds of the Ladies' Man independently, taking into account the climatic features of the region. As an example, we can cite the middle zone of Russia, where it is recommended to sow seeds in the second half of March. Accordingly, in the Crimea and Krasnodar Territory, the process is carried out earlier, starting from mid-February, in cooler regions later, in the first half of April. In the phase of 2 true leaves, a pick is made. Seedlings at the age of 55 - 60 days are suitable for transplanting to a permanent place. In mid-May, hardened plants can be planted under film shelters, in open ground - at the beginning of June. After transplanting, the seedlings are tied to a support or to a trellis. Our hero shows the best result when forming 3 - 4 stems. The care is common to the culture as a whole. It is advisable to water it with water heated in the sun. Top dressing must be carried out at least 2 - 3 times during the growing season, you can alternate organic matter and mineral fertilizers.

The ladies' man really managed to please many tomato growers. But, as always, there were also critical remarks about our hero. Some were not satisfied with the taste, but a good yield was noted. For some, it all happened the other way around - they managed to collect a few tomatoes, but the taste pleased them. In this case, experienced gardeners recommend planting the variety again, but during cultivation, take into account all the shortcomings of the last season.
