Description

The first fruit cluster is formed, as it should be for indents, in the region of 8 leaves, the subsequent ones appear after 2 - 3 leaves. In total, up to 5 racemes are formed on the central stem. In the State Register of Varieties of the Russian Federation, the shape of the fruit of the Honey Spas is indicated as round, smooth. But tomato growers often notice that simultaneously with even, rounded tomatoes, kidney-shaped, and even unequal, slightly gnarled ones are formed. Unripe tomato is green, with a dark contrasting spot at the stalk. When ripe, it acquires a warm orange or honey-yellow hue, the stain disappears. The skin is thin, but dense, glossy shiny. The pulp is very fleshy, oily, moderately dense, without voids, not watery, but juicy, sugary. The scent is incredibly pleasant and strong. The mass of fruits varies according to various sources. The state register claims 160 - 218 grams. The originators promise 600-gram specimens, and tomato growers say they have managed to grow 300 or 400-gram tomatoes. According to the observations of gardeners, the first fruit clusters are not very large-fruited, but in the middle the largest tomatoes ripen.

Variety characteristics

• In terms of ripening, Honey Spas is a mid-season. Maturity occurs 110 - 115 days after full shoots appear;
• yield, according to the State Register, in open ground is 5.6 kg per 1 square meter, under film shelters is much higher - 14 kg per 1 sq. meters. One plant produces 4 - 5 kg. According to gardeners, the yield can be called average or even lower. But this variety is grown not for the sake of a large harvest, but as a delicacy, very tasty product;
• the yield of marketable fruits is high - 98%, including ripe, ripened in the conditions of the Novosibirsk region - 74%;
• the fruiting period lasts until the onset of cold snaps. But you do not need to overexpose the crop on the bush, the overripe pulp loses its taste and elastic consistency, it becomes wadded;
• the immunity of the tomato is quite average. It is noted that the plant can be affected by cladosporia and apical rot. But according to other sources, the variety is not afraid of tobacco mosaic and phytophthora;
