Tomato variety Pepper
Tomato is a delicious and very healthy vegetable that is widespread throughout the world. There are a large number of varieties of this culture. But Pepper Tomato is especially popular with private gardeners and owners of large crop farms. The fact is that in many respects it is superior to other cultivated varieties. It is it that housewives prefer to salt and pickle for the winter, use it in salads and other dishes. And the taste of ripe fruits is very pleasant: sweet, with a slight sourness, leaving a soft aftertaste. Yes, and fleshy pulp, a small amount of seeds facilitate their culinary processing.
Pepper is a medium-ripening variety. The shape of the fruit is elongated, reminiscent of a plum or pepper - hence the name. The color of ripe tomatoes is deep red, maybe with an orange tint, or bright yellow. The cuttings may also have greenish or yellowish spots, which does not in the least indicate the spoilage of the fruit. It should be noted that the Pertsevidny variety is a high-yielding variety. The weight of one berry (do not forget that the fruit of such familiar to us tomatoes is recognized by all botanists as a berry!) Can reach from 80 grams to 100, and with very good care - and 110. At the same time, 4− 9 fruits. The bush, which grows in length from 1.5 to 2 meters, has 4-5 branches. Thus, during the season, up to 28-29 kg can be removed from one plant. Naturally, this tomato requires special attention during the period of active growth. Bushes urgently need a garter. When the plant is formed, it is necessary to pinch the twigs and inflorescences so that the first one is tied at least 8-9 leaves, and each subsequent one - in the interval after 3 leaves.
Tomato Pepper is perfect for outdoor use. Seedlings are planted in the beds usually in late May - early June (depending on weather conditions; if the temperature is not higher than +10, the ovary is not formed). A distance of 45-50 cm is kept between the bushes. The row spacing is made at a distance of 15-20 cm. This tomato begins to bear fruit in mid-July and continues until the end of September. Only in August should you pay attention to the appearance of new inflorescences. It is better to remove them, because to make the ovary and ripen the fruit will not have time, and pinch the tops of the branches. You need to feed the plant, like other varieties of tomatoes.
Hello, I read your article with interest, this year for the first time I decided to try peppers, but I don’t know, you can’t go to the greenhouse. Share information, please. From SW. Nina
Of course, if possible, it is better to plant tomatoes in a greenhouse.
Pepper is one of the favorites of my household. Every year I grow it in my garden, and I am very pleased with the result. Firstly, it is unpretentious in care, you just need to perform elementary procedures on time. Secondly, it has an appetizing appearance, bright color, unusual shape, and most importantly, it has very tasty juicy fruits (this is very important for children, it is difficult to feed them with vegetables, and they eat these tomatoes with pleasure). Thirdly, the variety is very productive. Fourth, tomatoes are good for pickles, they are easy to remove from the jar.
I agree with you. Really tasty tomato, but the yield is an order of magnitude lower than the declared one.
Everything was written beautifully. But ... YOU are clearly not friends with mathematics. Let's count: one berry weighs 100g. On the brush, on average, 6-7 pcs. This is 600-700gr. There are 4-5 branches (brushes) on the bush. This is 3.5 kg at best, but does not even come close to the declared 29 kg. This is pure lie. I bought it myself. People don't believe ads.
I fully agree with Mikhail. I didn't like this variety at all, it blooms very profusely, and there are few ovaries. The taste was not so tender and sweet. In a word, I do not recommend this variety.
Here people write about 29 kg per bush. Honestly, they usually write the weight per square meter. I have been growing tomatoes for several years and I have never seen such a crop, so a bucket from a bush is easy. As for the pepper-shaped tomato variety, there are a lot of them and all are different, both in the size of the bush and in the fruit. I would like a more accurate description of the variety and the seeds of which manufacturer were used. In my greenhouse, a pepper-shaped one from Aelita is a bush for 2 meters, it gives brushes of 4-6 tomatoes, the size can reach more than 20 cm, the fruit is very similar to sharp-nosed peppers, there are few seeds, the taste is sweet and sour, it gives 3 kg of tomatoes from the bush.
