New Island strawberry variety

New Island is my favorite strawberry variety. Begins to bear fruit before everyone else, and gives a harvest for almost a month. The berries are elongated, ripen quickly, can be harvested every day. Strawberries are tasty, sweet, flavorful and tend to multiply quickly. I try to cut the antennae so as not to thicken the bed (a neglected bed is a small strawberry). I water it periodically all summer, for the winter I cover it with foliage from the trees. In early spring, I remove the foliage and water it until the berries appear. During the harvesting period, I almost stop watering (you can only water at the root, if you water on a bush, the berries will deteriorate).
