Description

The leaf rosette is powerful, raised. The leaves are round, not too large, greenish-gray, with a waxy bloom of medium intensity. The leaf blade is slightly concave, the surface is slightly vesicular, the edges are slightly wavy. The head of cabbage is compact, rounded or slightly flat-round, partially covered, very dense (density estimate from the State Register - 4.0 points), with an excellent structure, juicy, yellowish in cross-section. Inner and outer stumps from short to medium length. The taste is good and excellent. The weight of the plug according to the State Register is 1.2 - 1.9 kg, the originators indicate the weight from 2.5 to 5.0 kg. The leaves contain a large amount of sugar, dry matter and vitamin C.

Characteristics

• Cyclops belongs to the mid-season varieties, even rather to the mid-late ones. The crop is harvested 85 - 90 days after transplanting the seedlings. The entire growing season takes 120 - 140 days;
• the yield is average, but stable. According to the State Register, the marketable yield was 186 - 339 c / ha, which is at the level of cabbage taken as the standard Glory 1305... In the Ivanovo region, the described crop showed the maximum result - 749 c / ha;
• the immunity of the variety is powerful, there is a high resistance to fusarium wilt, which is confirmed by the State Register;
• the excellent plasticity of the variety is noted, which allows it to adapt to various conditions during the growing period;
• in the field, the culture is able to maintain high commercial qualities, does not crack;
• the harvest tolerates transportation perfectly. The keeping quality is insufficient;
• the way of using is universal. The vegetable is intended for consumption in its natural form, for the preparation of various dishes. Also, our hero is recognized as one of the best hybrids for salting. The high content of vitamin C contributes to obtaining the highest quality sauerkraut, while it is noted that the color of the cabbage does not change. Thanks to thin leaves, compactness of the head of cabbage and a small stump, there is practically no waste during processing.

Agrotechnics

Our hero is suitable for growing in a seedling and non-seedling way. To obtain maximum performance, the planting density should not exceed 35 thousand plants per hectare. Our hero requires increased agricultural technology. Watering should be stopped 2 weeks before harvesting.
