Pepper variety Pinocchio
It is an early ripening variety of pepper that ripens in 88 to 100 days. The Buratino variety was bred at the V.I. Edelstein. This variety was zoned in 1995 in the Central, North-West and Central Black Earth regions. Basically, it was zoned for an extended culture of the winter-spring cycle.
This variety of bell pepper is very unpretentious and suitable for cultivation, both in open ground and in temporary film shelters. Pinocchio is considered a semi-determinate plant. He is a fairly tall plant with a height of 70 to 100 centimeters. This variety branches poorly, gives only 2 or 3 shoots, but looks rather sprawling.
Buratino's castings are small, dark green. No shaping is required for the plant. The fruits of this variety of bell pepper are very large, weighing from 100 to 120 grams, and measuring about 17 centimeters in length and 8 centimeters in width. The shape of the fruit is elongated and conical, they are red with a silvery tinge, ripen in a drooping position on the shoot, the wall of the fruit is dense up to 5 millimeters thick.
The variety of sweet bell peppers Buratino is very much appreciated by farmers, as it has such valuable qualities as:
- great taste;
- good yield;
- large and juicy fruits.
Pepper Buratino I fully appreciated for the second season. In the first, after reading that his bushes are powerful and seeing that the stems are almost as thick as a finger, they decided that they would do without a garter. But in August, after a rain with a strong wind, half of the bushes fell into the mud along with the fruits, which were already starting to turn red. The next year, they were not too lazy to put up the supports. Of all the peppers that were closed for the winter, it is the most delicious pickled in salads. And the fresh one is so sweet and fragrant that with each watering I gnawed a couple of live and juicy vitamins to seeds. They also took for stuffing, not embarrassed by the dark-dark green color of unripe peppercorns.
I bought these seeds in a joint purchase. I didn’t know which ones to choose, and therefore I chose from the picture, and so that they would quickly mature. I opted for Pinocchio.
The seedlings turned out to be very powerful (I was surprised), the first flower appeared even before landing in the greenhouse (we have an apartment on the south side and it is very warm in the room where they stand).
The peppers themselves are very tasty, I ate them straight from the garden or in a salad. This year I planted it again, I hope for a good harvest.
