Aley tomato variety

Alei is a determinant, mid-season tomato variety that is successfully grown both in open and closed ground. Ripe fruits of medium size, round, elliptical, slightly ribbed, loose, pink in color, with high taste. Tomatoes of the Alei variety are used, both fresh and for conservation and processing in cooking.

Sowing and planting

Tomato seeds of the Alei variety are sown in pre-prepared, slightly rammed soil during March-May, mulched with a soil layer and peat no more than one centimeter thick, after which they are watered with warm water. The planted seeds are covered with foil and placed in a warm place with a temperature of at least 20 ° C.

After the first shoots appear, the film should be removed, and the seedlings themselves should be placed in a bright place. For 7 days, the temperature regime should be maintained at 15 - 16 ° C, after which the temperature is gradually increased to 22 ° C.

After 2 leaves appear on the plant, the seedlings must be dived. After the plant reaches 2 months of age, when 5-7 leaves and at least one flower cluster are formed, the seedlings are planted in a greenhouse or open ground. The planting scheme will be as follows: the distance between the rows should be at least 50 cm, between the bushes of plants - from 40-45 cm.

Care and collection

After the beginning of the formation of fruit ovaries, the plants should be tied up. Systematic watering is required (especially at the stage of fruit ripening) and the use of special means of protection - fungicides, herbicides and insecticides. With low soil fertility, fertilization is required.

The height of an adult plant is from 0.75 to 1.25 m. About 5 fruits are formed on one flower bone, weighing from 100 to 125 g (the maximum fruit weight is 300 g). The average yield per square meter of plantings is about 4 kg. Fruit ripening time - July-September, depending on the average daily ambient temperature (at the age of 103-115 days).
