Description

The plant is classified as indeterminate, its height is 1.5 meters and above. The bush is compact, but powerful, with a strong root system. The main stem is strong, therefore it is recommended to form the plant in one, sometimes in two trunks - it will withstand the load of the crop perfectly. The leaves of the variety are alternate, pinnate, medium in size, painted in a light green color. The surface of the stems and leaves is covered with a light downy. The inflorescence is a complex raceme, the first to open are the flowers located closer to the base, and then the apical ones. Several brushes are formed on the plant (from 5 and more), in each of which up to 24 fruits can be set. The average weight of tomatoes is 90 grams. The largest fruits ripen on the first clusters. Further, their weight decreases slightly. Tomatoes at the Cascade are beautiful, cylindrical in shape, with a sharp nose, slightly ribbed. Unripe fruits are colored green, ripe ones acquire a rich red color. The skin is smooth, not too thick, but firm. The pulp is dense and has excellent taste, in which the sweetness prevails, and the sourness is barely caught. The number of nests is small - 2 - 3.

Characteristics

• In terms of ripening, the variety belongs to the mid-season, after the appearance of the first shoots, 100 - 110 days pass before the beginning of fruiting;
• seed germination is somewhat stretched;
• the marketable yield of tomato is high, it is 7.4 kg / square meter;
• according to gardeners, the Cascade is resistant to many diseases characteristic of the culture;
• the plant copes with unfavorable environmental conditions, so it can also be planted in open ground in regions with a temperate climate;

Agrotechnics

The variety is grown mainly in seedlings, which is especially suitable for regions with unstable weather conditions. For seedlings, seeds are sown at the end of February or in March. Seedlings at first grow unevenly, they can be very stretched, so you need to create suitable conditions for them. After a couple of months, hardened seedlings can be planted in a foil or glass greenhouse.

The variety needs to be tied to a vertical support or trellis. It is recommended to form the Cascade into one stem and carry out timely pinching. But if necessary, it can be grown in 2 or 3 trunks. Compact dimensions make it possible to plant up to 4 plants per square meter. As for fertilizing, nitrogen-containing fertilizers are applied mainly at the beginning of the growing season, in the future you need to be more careful with them, since the tomato can begin to "fatten" - to increase the green mass to the detriment of the fruits. But phosphorus and potassium will not interfere with the formation of the ovary and ripening of tomatoes.In order for the crop to ripen faster, the lower leaves must be removed. But do not get carried away, excessive removal of them will lead to a decrease in fruit ovary due to lack of nutrients.

Since the tomato is recommended for indoor cultivation, the following recommendations must be followed:
