Apple variety Grushovka Moscow
The Moscow pear-tree apple is an early-ripening variety of folk selection, characterized by abundant fruiting.
Morphological characteristics of the variety
Moscow pear tree is a large tree with a branched crown, which at a young age has a pyramidal shape. With age, the crown of the apple tree becomes spreading, with drooping branches. In trees older than ten years, the crown, as a rule, takes a spherical shape. The apple tree has a dense foliage.
The plant is erect with a sympodial type of branching, branches without thorns, vegetative shoots with a reddish-brown bark. Generative shoots (ringlets) are numerous, darker than the main branches, slightly pubescent. The shade of the bark of the main branches is yellowish-orange.
The leaves are arranged on long petioles, ellipsoid, elongated, leaf margins with small teeth, the color of the leaves is green, sometimes yellowish-green. There are keeled (folded back) leaves. Young leaves are pubescent, mature leaves with sparse down or smooth. Stipules are large, do not fall or fall late.
The petals in the buds are pink, blooming, change color to light pink, almost white. Flowers up to 2.5 cm in diameter, saucer-shaped.
Androeus is represented by ten stamens with anthers that do not protrude beyond the level of the stigma.
Fetal characteristics
The fruits of the Grushovka Moscow apple tree are small or medium, weighing no more than 120 g, the average weight of an apple is 80 g.
The shape of the fruit is spherical, slightly flattened, sometimes onion. The saucer is shallow, flat, but wide. A characteristic feature: at the bottom of the saucer there are five (according to the number of carpels) outgrowths. The funnel is medium, shallow, thick, the stalk slightly protrudes beyond its edge.
The skin is thin, fragrant, smooth, covered with a layer of natural wax, which makes the apple oily to the touch. The color of the fruit ranges from light green to white and pale lemon, with integumentary stripes of deep red or dark pink. Sometimes the apple is covered with a uniform blush.
The pulp is juicy, loose, white, slightly yellowish, sometimes creamy or gets a pink tint in ripe apples. The pulp has a delicate, fresh, warm apple scent. If the fruit is overripe, then the pulp becomes dryish and mealy. Whitish dots are visible under the skin in the pulp, they are numerous, but do not give the fruit hardness.
The taste of the fruit is sweet and sour, aromatic, sometimes with a pronounced sourness, which indicates the presence of a large amount of vitamin C.
Seeds are light chestnut, elongated, medium in size, located in closed seed chambers.

Good grade.
For a long time at my dacha I have been growing Grushovka apple trees. Each tree is about 15 years old. Almost every goal from every tree I take 2-3 sacks of apples. Ripe fruits are delicious, juicy and sweet. Maturation occurs in early August. It is a pity that they are not stored for a long time, only 3 weeks. We make compotes, preserves, juices, jams, wine from them. We eat the rest, so we don't have time to disappear!
We have an apple tree of the Grushovka variety in our garden, it is already 20 years old. This variety has an early ripening. apples are already ripening at the beginning of August. Ripe fruits are light green in color with multiple red or pink stripes. They taste wonderful - sweet, juicy, aromatic. And the harvest is high. We collect up to 3 bags from one tree! True, the tree requires increased care, especially from the effects of scab and pests.
