The apple variety Uralets was bred by Porfiry Afanasyevich Dibrov at the Sverdlovsk experimental gardening station in the middle of the 19th century, crossing a Chinese woman Voskovka with Anis pink-striped and Ukrainka Saratov.

Biological description

The Uralets apple tree is characterized by vigorous growth and durability. The crown is strong, slender, and has a pyramidal shape. Branches are covered with brown bark. They form a right angle with the trunk, and then, bending, are arranged vertically. With a large number of fruits, the branches can bend, but do not break off due to the high strength of the crown. The dark brown shoots are pubescent and have short internodes. Leaves are medium, dull, set on a short petiole. They are characterized by a rounded base and a wedge-shaped apex. The leaves are serrated along the edges. In early May, the pink buds turn into white flowers. Apple-tree Uralets is a self-fertile variety. Best pollinated with a cultivar Ural bulk.

Spread

The Uralets variety is zoned in the Volgo-Vyatka region. Due to its increased winter hardiness, it feels great in the northern regions of Russia. The distribution area is the Urals, Western and Eastern Siberia, the Nonchernozem belt, the Upper Volga region, Northern Kazakhstan.
