Apple variety Renet Simirenko

Renet Simirenko is my favorite winter variety. It seems to me that there are few varieties that can be stored for about six months and at the same time almost completely retain their taste. Even in April - May, you can enjoy well-preserved, dense, juicy fruits.

Only they should be collected for storage slightly unripe, and during storage these apples tend to "pick up sugar", ripen. We collect them in September - October (every year in a different way). Somehow we collected the fruits of Renet (no longer for storage) after the first frosts hit. And what is interesting, they were just as tasty and did not freeze at all. Probably, this was facilitated by the rather dense skin and pulp of the apples.

Apples of this variety have a unique, sweet, slightly sour, slightly tart taste. You can make good jam from them, but not jam, since the fruits do not boil well.

Our tree bears fruit every two to three years, since it is already old. And every year you can harvest a good harvest from young apple trees by Renet Simirenko.
