The period from germination to harvest is 90 - 110 days. The seedlings are ready for planting in 30 - 45 days after the emergence of shoots, when it has 4 - 5 true leaves. When planting seedlings in open ground in early May, cabbage reaches technical ripeness in the third decade of June.

Leaves are light green in color, whole, slightly bubbly, small, with a weak waxy bloom; the edge of the leaf is slightly wavy. Heads of cabbage are homogeneous, tender, juicy, weighing 1.2 - 2.5 kg (maximum - 5 kg), have a rounded or flat-round shape; the outer color is saturated light green, on the cut - white-yellow; the density of the head of cabbage is average (estimated at 4 points). Internal stump of medium length. The yield of marketable heads of cabbage is 360 - 640 kg / ha, or 3 - 7 kg / square meter. The output of marketable products is high - 97%.

This variety is recommended for fresh consumption in summer. Suitable for commercial production (the bulk of the crop ripens at the same time). The taste is excellent.

June cabbage is characterized by medium resistance to head cracking, damage by cabbage fly and cold snaps (it can withstand frosts down to minus 2 - 5 ° C), but it is susceptible to keel.

I plant June cabbage every year, both with my seedlings and purchased. Loves top watering. I will say that every year I do not always manage to achieve a good harvest. And all because of the aphids and fleas, which literally attacks cabbage since the end of May, and the rainless beginning of summer, which is typical for our area. And although I sprinkle with ashes, it is not always possible to effectively fight insects without chemistry, especially with a flea. We have to apply. Another disadvantage is that it ripens at the same time. I came to the conclusion that from the end of June to mid-July it is necessary to cut off the whole. Do not overdo it under any circumstances. If not cut off in time, the inner leaves begin to deteriorate - rot and turn black. Therefore, I plant a little, just for myself.

In 2017, the harvest for June cabbage was good. All seedlings have sprouted in the nursery. Didn't even have to fertilize. I planted the seedlings late, in the 20th of May, due to bad weather. A flea immediately attacked the cabbage. I try to remove insects without chemicals, it still helps with folk remedies. Sprinkle ash or tobacco around the cabbage. I water the cabbage with a garlic solution.
After planting seedlings in the ground, I water the cabbage for 10 days. Early morning and late evening. Then I switch to one watering in the evening.
This variety ripens quickly, already at the end of July, maybe even earlier it can be cut down. Make a salad for the winter or salt.
There is one drawback. If this cabbage is not cut down in time, then the heads of cabbage begin to burst, the inside begins to turn yellow and the forks disappear.

I plant this cabbage every year, but only a few bushes, because it is not suitable for pickling and does not store for a long time, only for fresh consumption.I buy seedlings more often, since I do not always manage to grow them myself, the "black leg" attacks and the seedlings die, although before sowing I soak the seeds in a solution of potassium permanganate. I plant it in the garden by the middle or end of May, it doesn't work earlier - it's too cold here. I treat cabbage fly only with ash, I try not to abuse excess chemistry in my garden. My forks are small and loose, but in summer salads it is good. Therefore, I think that planting it is worth it, but in small quantities.

I never planted cabbage in my garden, since this is a troublesome business. It is necessary to often water and treat pests. This year I tried to plant for the first time. I didn't choose the variety, I bought the first one that came across, it turned out to be June. Seedlings sprouted amicably and very densely. Because of this, it began to stretch and grow poorly. When I planted such seedlings in a garden bed, I did not hope for much success. Imagine my surprise when almost all the seedlings took root. Summer turned out to be rainy, so there was no hassle with watering, the only attack was insects. I had to process it several times. The heads of cabbage are very dense. From a small garden bed, without making almost any effort, they took a decent harvest to the envy of the neighbors. In general, an excellent variety, I will definitely plant it next year.

We love to plant it. When we cut off a head of cabbage, be sure to leave a root, and a bunch of heads of cabbage grows on it until autumn. But we do not plant the average for the season, it turns out to be bitter.
