Cherry variety Bryanskaya pink
Bryanskaya rozovaya is a late-ripening cherry variety of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Lupine (Bryansk, Michurinsky settlement). Seedling of the Black Muscat variety (its other name is Negritenok). The authorship is assigned to M.V. Kanshina and A.I. Astakhov.
In 1987, the variety was sent to the State test. Since 1993 it has been zoned in the Central Region (Bryansk Region).
Trees of moderate growth, medium-sized, small in size. The crown is strong, raised, wide-pyramidal in shape, of medium density. Skeletal branches extend from the trunk at an acute angle. Shoots are even, smooth, light brown. Buds are medium in size, vegetative - ovoid, with a strong deviation, generative - oval. The leaves are large in size, with a sharply pointed tip and a pointed (sometimes rounded) base, along the edge of the leaf there is a large double-serrate serration; the upper leaves are slightly pigmented. The leaf blade is green, flat, not pubescent, with slightly concave edges. The petioles are thick, of medium length, pigmented, each of them has a pair of light pink glands.
Inflorescences are three-flowered. The flowers themselves are small in size, white in color, the petals are located freely. The corolla is saucer-shaped, the calyx is cups. The stigma of the pistil is at the same height as the anthers of the stamens. The pistil and stamens are long. Serration is absent on sepals. Fruit ovaries are formed mainly on bouquet twigs and annual shoots.
Cherry fruits Bryansk pink of medium size (the weight of the berry is 4 g, the largest specimens grow up to 5.5 g; width - 2.1 cm, height - 2 cm, thickness - 1.8 cm), round in shape, with a rounded top. The skin is dense, pink-yellow in color with a speckled pattern. The funnel is medium in size. The stalks are medium in thickness and length, or long; separation from the twig is easy, from the pulp - dry. The stone weighing 0.27 g (7.3% of the total weight of the fruit), ovoid, with a rounded apex and a rounded base, is colored light brown, it separates from the pulp medium. With heavy rainfall (watering) after a drought, the fruits do not crack.
The pulp is dense, cartilaginous, light yellow in color, juicy, taste good, sweet, with a slight bitterness. Fruit juice is colorless and almost transparent. Tasting score - 4.1 points. In terms of chemical composition, the berries contain: dry matter (18.1%), the amount of sugars (13.8%), acids (0.47%), vitamin C (14.2 mg / 100 g). The purpose of the variety Bryanskaya rosaya is universal (fresh, juices, compotes, fruit wines, jams, preserves). The fruits tolerate transportation very well.
Flowering takes place at a later date (mid-May). Fruit ripening is also late (third decade of July - early August). Fruiting begins in the 5th year.
The average yield is 20 kg / der. (or 55 kg / ha), the maximum yield reaches 30 kg / der. (or 103 c / ha).
The level of winter hardiness of trees and flower buds is good. The stem and base of the skeletal branches are resistant to frost breaks and sunburn. After severe winters, trees froze up to only 0.4 points, flower buds - up to 14%. As a result of spring frosts at a temperature of -3.-5 ° C, pistils died up to 85%.
The variety is highly resistant to common fungal diseases of stone fruit crops - moniliosis, coccomycosis and clasterosporiosis.

This cherry is self-fertile. The best pollinators include the following varieties: Iput, Ovstuzhenka, Revna, Tyutchevka.
The main advantages of Bryansk pink sweet cherry are: high winter hardiness, resistance to fungal diseases, low susceptibility to fruit rot, restrained growth rates of trees, resistance to cracking and high transportability of fruits.
Among the disadvantages of the variety: smallish berries, inability to self-pollinate.
