The trees are low (medium-sized), the crown is of medium density, back pyramidal in shape. Fruit formations are tied most often on ringlets and fruit twigs.

The fruits of the honey pear grow to a large and very large size (weight ranges from 300 to 520 g, but on average it is 340 g), unequal, short-pear-shaped in shape, with a bumpy surface and slightly pronounced ribbing. The skin is dry, thin, smooth. The main color of the fruit is greenish-yellow, the integumentary color is a brownish blush, similar to a slight rustiness. Subcutaneous points are small, gray. The saucer is small, grooved, narrow in shape. The stalks are short, medium in thickness, slightly curved in shape.

The pulp is creamy, oily, melting, aromatic, juicy, tender, with an excellent sweet taste. In terms of chemical composition, the fruits contain: the sum of sugars (10.12%), organic acids (0.15%), vitamin C (5.93 mg / 100 g fr wt). The taste and commercial qualities of the variety are estimated at 4.5 - 5.0 points.

The period of removable maturity falls in the 2nd decade of September. Ripe fruits do not crumble. The consumer ripeness of the fruit almost coincides with the removable one. In the refrigerator, pears remain fresh until January. The transportability of the variety is good.

Pear Honey is early-fruiting: trees enter the fruiting season at 3 - 5 years. The yield is consistently high. There is no periodicity of fruiting. The variety is winter-hardy and resistant to major diseases. Flowers tolerate spring frosts well.

The variety is partially self-fertile.

I slightly disagree with the fact that the ripe fruits of the Honey pear do not crumble. It is better not to let them overripe on the tree, and pluck when they start to turn yellow, in which case it is stored better. I have two trees of this variety, in the stage of active fruiting, pears are quite productive and please with their yield. The fruits themselves are large enough and have a good presentation. Therefore, I mainly sell them in the market, leaving myself to eat a little.
I like the variety, it is unpretentious and bears fruit well, what is needed for an amateur gardener.
