A wonderful variety of cabbage. I sow at the end of March directly into the ground, under the eggplants. This season, when the sprouts had already sprouted, snow fell. For cabbage, this is not at all scary. As soon as it got warmer, she started growing. Already in June, the first heads of cabbage could be cut for salad. Having cut off the head of cabbage, I leave the stem to grow further. On each remaining stump, 4 - 5 more small heads of cabbage grow over the summer. In fact, by planting a bed of early cabbage, you are provided with it for the whole summer. Unlike late varieties, in which active growth occurs in the middle of summer, in the very heat. Therefore, despite feeding and watering, late cabbage is in no hurry to tie heads of cabbage. And only by autumn it begins to grow, when the coolness sets in. And since the frosts are now very early, she does not even have time to grow a full-fledged head of cabbage before that time. Therefore, I am more and more inclined to abandon the late varieties and plant only early and middle varieties. They also taste much softer and juicier.

7 years ago I successfully purchased Parel cabbage seeds in Dutch professional packaging. Since then I don’t recognize any other early cabbage.
The first time I sow seeds in a greenhouse directly into the ground, when the average daily temperature becomes positive. The seedlings grow strong, seasoned, and the harvest is early - you can eat cabbage already in June. The next sowing is done in the ground in May - this is how cabbage makes me happy until the coldest days. On my land, it grew up to 2.5 kg. The stump is very small, all heads of cabbage are the same, like twins. The only negative for me - it cracks when ripe very amicably: if one head of cabbage crunches, it will catch up with the whole garden within a couple of days, just have time to eat. It is unusually tasty in salads (does not have the bitterness inherent in some varieties), stewed, sauerkraut. It is not stored for long, a month or two.
