  • the yield of the variety is very high, but depends on agricultural technology and climatic conditions. 5.6 - 7.7 kg can be collected from one square meter;
  • gardeners respect the variety for its good resistance to major crop diseases, for example, root rot or leaf spot;
  • the variety is resistant to shooting, which is the main reason for the appearance of small and thin root crops;
  • due to good resistance to short-term frosts, the plant is not threatened with flowering;
  • a feature of the culture is the complete immersion of the vegetable in the soil during the growth period, but when harvesting, pulling out the carrots will not be difficult;
  • another big advantage of the variety is its resistance to cracking of root crops, which has a positive effect on their keeping quality;

  • transportability is excellent, the crop can be transported over long distances without loss;
  • longevity is long, almost until the new harvest, but at the same time it is necessary to observe storage standards and periodically check root crops so that it is possible to remove in time those that have begun to deteriorate;
  • the way of use is universal. Karotel is used in home cooking to prepare main courses. This delicate, crispy and juicy root vegetable in its natural form is eaten with pleasure by children. The sweet pulp is used to prepare baby food, medicinal food, juices and even desserts. Carrots are also suitable for canning, for example, in assorted vegetables, as well as for freezing.

Agrotechnics

The variety is grown by direct sowing of seeds into the ground. Before sowing, the seed is prepared in the usual way.Set aside a place for the garden in a well-lit area. The best predecessors are cucumber, tomato, cabbage, peas. A few days before sowing, plant residues should be removed and the soil should be dug to the depth of a shovel. Since the seeds are small, their planting depth is small - about 2 cm. Seeding rate: 3-4 grams per square meter. Distance between grooves up to 20 cm. Planting density 120 - 1150 plants per square meter. After the emergence of full shoots, it is necessary to carry out thinning so that the thickening does not interfere with the normal development of the underground part of the plants. Watering is carried out 1 time in 7 - 10 days. After moistening, the soil should be carefully loosened to destroy the formed soil crust.

Sowing carrots can be carried out in the spring - in March - April, depending on the region. If frosts are predicted on the soil, then the bed can be hidden under any covering material that allows air to pass through. The minimum temperature for seed germination is 4 - 6 ° C, the optimum temperature is 18 - 25 ° C. To obtain an early harvest in the southern regions and the middle lane, pre-winter sowing is carried out in October - November with dry seeds. Seed consumption in this case is assumed to be slightly higher than during spring planting.

Karotel is a proven and successful cultivar for cultivation in all regions of Russia. The culture is unpretentious, but fruitful. Excellent taste allows you to consume this vitamin product in its natural form. Root crops are well suited for processing and vegetable preservation. Features with a plus sign - long shelf life, resistance to shooting, color and cracking. The increased content of carotene and vitamins makes the variety beneficial for health.

This variety has been sowing for several years already. It suits me completely. Despite our northern region, the harvest is always excellent. And children really like it for its sweet taste. I like to make Korean carrots out of it, I add it to all soups. Stores well until summer, or until we eat it. I prefer to store it in sawdust, so it remains until the next harvest.
