Cucumber variety Red mullet (F1)

Red mullet is a hybrid of an early ripening cucumber from a Russian producer - Gavrish agrofirm. In 2007, the variety was included in the state register of the Russian Federation for cultivation on personal subsidiary plots. Regions of admission: North, Central, Central black earth, North-West, North Caucasian, Volgo-Vyatka, Srednevolzhsky. The authorship is assigned to V.N. Shevkunov, A.V. Shamshina, A.E. Portyankin and S.F. Gavrish.

Variety Red mullet bunchy, parthenocarpic (does not require pollination by bees), predominantly female type of flowering. Suitable for cultivation in open and closed ground (temporary film shelters, glazed greenhouses). The period from the emergence of seedlings to the collection of the first fruits is 43 - 48 days.

Plants are indeterminate, with strong branching. In one leaf sinus, from 3 to 8 - 12 ovaries are formed; most of the ovaries are located at the nodes of the central stem. Leaves are green in color, medium in size.

Zelentsi are one-dimensional, cylindrical in shape, with large tubercles, weighing 90-100 grams, 10-12 cm long. The skin is dark green (lighter at the top of the fruit), with short light blurred stripes reaching up to a third of the fruit. Pubescence is of medium density. Spikes are white. The neck is very short. There is no bitterness in cucumbers. One bush gives from 6 to 7 kg of yield. Marketable yield - 14 - 15 kg / sq. M.

The variety is universal. The fruits are consumed fresh, cut into summer salads, used in pickles and marinades.

This hybrid is characterized by a harmonious yield and resistance to powdery mildew and downy mildew. Fruits not removed in time are not prone to overgrowth.

Advantages of the red mullet cucumber: excellent taste of fresh and canned fruits, disease resistance, high yield.

Sowing seeds for seedlings is carried out at the end of April. Planting in the ground is carried out in late May - early June, when there will be 3 - 4 true leaves on the seedlings. Sowing directly into open ground is carried out at the end of May. Planting scheme - 50 × 50 cm.
