Cucumber variety Caesar (F1)
Caesar is a medium early ripening cucumber hybrid bred in Poland. Recommended for growing in the open field and under film shelters.
The variety is bee-pollinated, with predominantly female flowers. The period from germination to harvesting the first fruits is 47 - 51 days.
Plants are powerful, vigorous. The leaves are green, medium in size.
Fruits are leveled, cylindrical, medium lumpy, 10 - 12 cm long, weighing 85 - 110 grams; the ratio of fruit length to thickness is 2.9: 1. The skin is dark green, with longitudinal light stripes up to ¾ of the hearth length. Pubescence is rare. The pulp is crispy, without bitterness.
A variety of universal use. Tasting assessment of fresh cucumbers 4.5 - 5 points, pickles - 5 points. The fruits are suitable for picking in the gherkin stage (5 - 8 cm).
This hybrid is characterized by resistance to brown spot, powdery mildew, cucumber mosaic virus and tolerance to downy mildew (downy mildew). Fruits not picked in time do not tend to grow in length and do not turn yellow for a long time, but they tend to barrel.
Advantages of Caesar cucumber: high yield, excellent taste, amicable fruiting, good presentation, inexpensive seeds.
The disadvantages include a short fruiting period.
Don't cheat people. Caesar is a variety of PLANTICO and has nothing to do with Legutko. Please understand this issue.
It is found on sale under both brands. I just fixed it for Polish selection.
