Pepper variety Flame
Pepper variety Flame belongs to medium early varieties. Fruiting begins about 110 - 120 days from the first shoots. The ripe fruit has a mass of 50 - 70 grams and an elongated conical shape. The surface of the fruit is smooth and red in color. The taste of the pepper is quite spicy, the pulp is dense with a very strong spicy aroma.
Pepper Flame is a heat-loving plant. Requires sufficient lighting, does not tolerate shading. In partial shade, fruit setting worsens, pepper becomes smaller. In the middle lane, it is preferable to grow it in greenhouses. Sowing dates for seedlings are the end of February - March. In case of late planting, it is recommended to pre-prepare the seeds. To do this, they are kept for 4 hours in warm water (40-50 degrees), after which they are wrapped in a damp cloth for two to three days. Seed germination occurs in 2 - 3 days. Plants that have reached the age of 50 - 70 days are planted "under a film" or in a greenhouse. The optimal planting pattern is 70 × 25 cm. Since the root system of the pepper is rather weak, it is better not to dive the seedlings, but initially plant in separate peat pots.
A plant of the Flame variety reaches a height of up to half a meter. The bush is semi-stem, rather compact, conical. The bush is resistant to verticillium.
Hot peppers are used fresh and dried. Used for conservation, added to tinctures.
I've been planting this pepper for a couple of years. I have it for conservation (in adjika), we do not use it raw. The seeds have good germination (although long, like any pepper) is a plus. I always plant at different ends of the site, since for the first time I planted everything in a heap, and as a result, all the bitter pepper became due to over-pollination. It is not necessary to tie up the bushes, it is unpretentious. It does not bake in the sun, although we have temperatures up to 40 ° C. Always a good harvest.
My favorite hot pepper variety. I plant it once every 2 years, literally 25 bushes. Enough for adjika, and to dry and grind for seasoning. It is not for nothing that the Flame variety is called - in dry form, only a few grains are enough to spice it up - this is not a store-bought ground red pepper, packaged in bags! Traditionally, I sow seedlings for Epiphany - January 19 (regardless of whether the day is suitable for this according to the lunar calendar or not), seedlings always succeed! Then the main thing is to try to protect as much as possible from injury when transplanting the roots of the bushes. Well, they really need a sunny place. The first time after transplanting into open ground - under the film, then grows well without it! I always plant a couple of bushes at the end of the growing season in pots and put them on the windowsill, they look decent almost until the New Year. And one bush even once left in a pot until spring. What do you think? - new shoots appeared in April, the bush bore fruit even better than last year! I did not transplant it into open ground, I grew it in a flowerpot. Only the old stem was very bare, young shoots grew closer to the top of the old stem, the bottom remained bald. I recommend the Flame pepper to everyone. A very grateful variety for growing in the middle climatic zone!
