Rose Ambiance
It used to be thought that giving yellow roses meant separation. Today they are a symbol of wealth and prosperity. To date, breeders have created a large number of magnificent varieties with buds of various shades of yellow. One of them is the charming Ambiance.
History of origin
Ambiance appeared at the end of the last century, namely in 1998. It was bred by the breeders of the famous French florist company NIRP International. This rose variety belongs to tea hybrids and belongs to the premium class. Over the 20 years of its existence, the sophisticated beauty has received many awards in the framework of flower exhibitions, and the lion's share of them - gold medals. Varietal crop registration name: Nirpnufdeu.
Description
Ambiance is very popular with florists. This is not surprising, because the French variety has a very decorative appearance, mainly due to the presence of large flowers of a rich yellow-orange hue. The diameter of a blossoming bud is 8-12 cm. The number of petals in each such flower reaches 40 pieces. Their edges slightly curving outward are red-crimson or bright pink, and this border attracts attention to the plant no less than the sunny tones of the flowers. In romantic terms, the color of the flower petals is amber-peach with cranberry blush. The buds of the plant are tall, goblet. The culture fills the air around it with a soft, wonderful fragrance, in which fruity notes are clearly guessed.
The rose bush grows up to 1 meter in height and reaches a width of 80 cm. Its erect, strong shoots are prone to branching and are equipped with a small number of thorns, which, undoubtedly, is the advantage of the French variety. Ambians has large leaves with an intense green color. On each stem, from 1 to 3 double buds are formed. Their shade may vary slightly depending on weather conditions. Ambiance bloom is continuous. The flowers stay on the bush for a long time and open extremely slowly, allowing you to enjoy their beauty to the fullest.
The plant tolerates frosts well down to -25 ° C. Its flowers are not afraid of precipitation. The rose is characterized by high resistance to black spot and medium - to powdery mildew.
Growing and care
It is advisable to plant Ambiance on a hill so that nothing prevents her from enjoying the sunlight. Culture does not tolerate shadows and does not produce colors in such conditions. When choosing a place for a plant, you should also pay attention to the depth of the groundwater, since stagnant moisture in the soil negatively affects the growth and development of an elegant beauty. It is worth taking care of the shrubs from cold drafts.
The soil in which you are going to plant a rose should have, if possible, the following characteristics: the presence of a large amount of humus and good drainage, a high degree of water and air permeability, a slightly acidic reaction (recommended pH 6-6.5). If the acidity of the soil is too high, lime or wood ash is added to it. Alkaline soil is enriched with humus and peat. Planting is done in spring. The root collar of Ambiance as a result of this event should be several centimeters below the substrate level.
You need to care for this variety in the same way as for any other tea hybrid. Regular watering is required, in the summer heat - up to 3 times a week, in the rainy season - no more than 1 time. Do not neglect loosening and mulching the soil under the flower: the first provides oxygen access to the root system of the rose, the second locks moisture in the soil. The soil must be loosened very carefully so as not to damage the roots of the noble plant. The mulch can be shredded bark or dried grass.
In the spring, the crop requires pruning. Strong shoots Ambians need to be shortened, leaving 10-15 cm of their main length. Each such stem should have 2-3 buds. Too weak and diseased branches are completely cut out. In the fall, the plant should also be pruned, but in order to prepare for a successful wintering. Ambiance needs shelter, which can be served by spruce branches or peat. You can also build a frame over the rose and cover it with a film, which is most important for the northern regions.
If, despite the excellent immunity, your pet has become a victim of powdery mildew, treat the leaves of the plant with Carbendazim. Perform this procedure every week until the disease subsides.
Use cases
Ambiance will adorn any green area, be it a modest front garden, a chic rose garden, a cozy flower garden or a majestic garden. The beauty has every chance to become the highlight of your collection of roses and other decorative flowering perennials. Bright Ambiance looks great in single plantings, attracts attention in group compositions, as part of a flower bed and a mixborder. Using plants of this variety, you can create a luxurious hedge or divide the garden into zones. The yellow-orange beauty fell in love with florists, and they often include her flowers in festive bouquets intended as a gift for a particular occasion. The variety is excellent in cutting, as its buds retain their original shape and freshness of the petals for a long time.
Rose Ambiance has been growing with me for ten years. And not every year she received proper care. It even hibernated somehow without shelter, in the fourth zone of winter hardiness. Frozen, of course, but recovered well. I have never been ill.
In recent years, I have been taking good care of it: I regularly water and feed, for the winter I cover it with spruce branches and spunbond - the rose looks smarter, blooms more abundantly.
The flower is good both in color and shape, but in summer, in the heat, quickly, in just a couple of days, it fades. It lasts much longer in the fall. It may be worth growing it in partial shade.
