The breeding of the variety took place in 1999. Its creator was the breeder Georges Delbar. The country of origin of this flower is refined France. Subsequently, Red Intuition became widespread in other states, where it easily adapted to local climatic conditions. Our heroine is a representative of a hybrid tea group. At first, Red Intuition was cultivated exclusively in greenhouses, but gradually they began to be planted in open ground, which is still relevant today. In the 90s of the last century, the tea hybrid was awarded several prestigious awards and titles at competitions in the United States. Over the past few years, the original flower has consistently been at the top of the sales rankings for rose seedlings. Another name for the variety is DELstriro.

Description of appearance

Among breeders, an extraordinary flower is called nothing less than the most decorative hybrid rose. What is so unusual about a French hybrid with an English name? The answer is found by itself when looking at the plant: this culture has a striped color of petals, for which it was called the "tiger" rose. The flowers themselves are dark red, coral red, crimson, burgundy or pomegranate. But the stripes on this bright background are always lighter, pink in color. On the delicate petals of Red Intuition, pink spots are also distinguishable. The combination of different shades and the heterogeneity of the background, however, look very harmonious.

The diameter of a fully blossoming flower is 10-12 cm. Each has 40-45 velvety petals with wavy edges. The shape of the buds, developing one on each shoot of the bush, is goblet. The aroma of bright flowers is light, but quite pleasant, combining the sweet smell of fruit and freshness. The flowering of the variety is long and abundant, lasting from April to October inclusive.

Other features of the plant: height - from 1 to 1.2 meters, width - 0.7 meters, vigorous bush, thorns on the stems are completely absent or observed in small quantities, the color of leaves with a semi-glossy surface is emerald.

The variety can be used for cutting. The flowers of this rose retain their freshness for a long time when placed in water. The plant is very resistant to diseases, but in wet weather there is still a risk of powdery mildew on the crop. The spectacular beauty can withstand frosts down to -30 ° C and is not afraid of rains.

Features of growing and care

To place Red Intuition, you should choose a place where the flower will have enough sunlight and where cold drafts will not reach. However, in the summer noon hours, an openwork partial shade should reign on such a site, then the culture will not receive burns.

The plant is planted in nutrient soil with a slightly acidic reaction. The ideal option is black soil. Loamy soil will serve as a worthy replacement. The pit for planting a seedling is prepared spacious, at least 0.5 meters in depth. A drainage layer and a little organic fertilizer are laid at the bottom, then they are sprinkled with earth. A distance of 70 cm is maintained between the Red Intuition bushes.

The average frequency of watering a rose is once a week. Twice a month it is necessary to feed, in the spring for this purpose use fertilizers rich in nitrogen - for better growth and development of the bush.In the summer-autumn period, give preference to potassium-phosphorus complexes.
