Zarechnaya early - an early-ripening variety of domestic plum (Prunus domestica), bred by VNIIGiSPR named after V.I. I.V. Michurin. Bred through crossing 3 varieties - Eurasia 21 x Volga beauty x Red dessert. The authorship belongs to G.A. Kursakov and L.E. Kursakova.

In 1985, the variety was sent to the State test. Since 1988, they have been included in the state register of the Russian Federation for the Central Black Earth Region (Tambov Region).

The trees are medium-sized. The crown is compact, medium thickened, medium leafy, oval-round or spherical in shape. Slightly curved shoots, dark brown colored. The internodes are short, of medium thickness. Lentils are numerous, well noticeable, short, gray in color. Buds are medium in size, not pressed against the shoot, cone-shaped, with a pointed tip, dark brown colored. The leaves are above average, dark green in color, oval in shape, with a short-pointed tip and an oval base, the edges are even, with crenate serration. Leaf blade with a smooth, matte, leathery surface, almost flat in shape, slightly concave by a boat. Glands 1 - 2 pieces on each leaf petiole: small, raised, rounded, red. The petioles are rather thick, of medium length, pigmented. Stipules of medium size, dissected, green in color, fall off quickly and remain only in the upper part of the shoot.

The flowers are medium in size, white in color. The petals are rounded, in contact with each other, in the bud stage they are greenish in color. The filaments are very short in length, the pistil is long (2 times the length of the stamens). The calyx is bell-shaped, light green in color. Sepals with very fine serration.

The fruits of the Zarechnaya early plum are large (minimum 35 g, average weight - 40 g, maximum - 50 - 60 g), oval-rounded, with a depressed top and a deep funnel. The skin is of medium density, dark purple in color and covered with a strong waxy bloom, it peels off well from the pulp. The subcutaneous points are numerous, clearly visible. The abdominal suture is small, well visible. The seeds are medium in size, oval in shape, well separated from the pulp. The dorsal suture is sharp, the ventral suture is wide, with clearly visible ribs. The stalks are short, thick, light green in color.

The pulp is amber in color, dense structure, very juicy, delicate, the taste is very good, pleasant, sour-sweet (sourness is barely caught) - something between yellow and red plum. Tasting score - 4.5 points. The biochemical composition of the fruits is as follows: dry matter - 16.84%, total sugars - 7.85%, acids - 1.56%, P-active substances - 200 mg / 100 g, ascorbic acid - 13.5 mg / 100 g.

The fruits are evenly distributed over the tree, so that the plum is not overloaded with harvest and does not become smaller.

The early fruiting rate is high: the trees enter the fruiting season in the 3rd - 4th year. Fruits ripen at the same time, in early terms (third decade of July). The yield is good, above average. Fruiting is annual. Overall winter hardiness is estimated to be above average. The level of winter hardiness of wood and flower buds is high. Resistance to the vast majority of diseases is relatively high.

The variety is self-fertile. Among the best pollinators of the Zarechnaya early plum, the following varieties are distinguished: Volzhskaya krasavitsa, Renklod Tambovskiy, Etude.

The main advantages of this plum include: attractive large fruits of super early ripening and high palatability, increased winter hardiness of wood and flower buds, good regular yields, average tree size.
