Tomato variety Brown bunch (F1)

Domestic breeders managed to please tomato growers with another amazing novelty - the Brown bunch variety. Its author is Nikolai Petrovich Fursov. A slender, handsome tomato with unusual fruits has already pleased those few vegetable growers who have grown it in their garden. The novelty was entered into the State Register of Breeding Achievements of Russia in 2018, and received admission to cultivation in all regions of the country. Recommended for growing in film greenhouses and under film shelters in personal subsidiary plots. Applicant - LLC "TK Leader", originator - V.I. Blokin-Mechtalin. The variety is a hybrid, therefore it is marked with F1.

Description

The plant is indeterminate. In the conditions of central Russia, it can grow up to 3.0 - 3.5 meters. If the height of the greenhouse does not allow growing the bush in full growth, the top is allowed to run parallel to the roof. Strong stems, moderate foliage. The internodes are short, which provides a large number of seedlings. Leaves are of the usual type, green in color, medium in size, about 40 cm long. Inflorescences are semi-complex and complex. Therefore, in one brush, a different number of ovaries can form - from 10 - 15 to 30 - 35. Such full and long clusters are more like clusters, which reflects the name of the tomato. The first inflorescence is laid over 8 - 9 leaves, the subsequent ones are formed after 2 - 3 leaves. The peduncle of the variety has an articulation.

Fruits Brown clusters are elongated-cylindrical, medium density, thick-walled, slightly ribbed. The top is decorated with a neat nose. Unripe green fruit with a dark spot at the stalk. Ripening, the fruits become brown, the spot at the stalk can sometimes be seen, but it does not affect the taste at all. At the stage of consumer ripeness, the vegetable turns brown. The skin is not thick, strong, but it is practically not felt during the meal. The pulp is raspberry-colored, tender, fleshy and juicy, but does not drain when cut. There may be a light-colored area in the middle, but this is a varietal feature. Seed chambers - 2, less often 3 pieces, small seeds. The taste is great. Many vegetable growers call our hero the most delicious among hybrids, comparing his sweet, slightly sour taste with cherry. Tomatoes are very convenient for whole-fruit canning, not only in shape, but also in their small size - their weight is 100 - 120 grams. In the upper bunches, the fruits may be slightly less weight.

Variety characteristics

  • Hybrid Brown bunch ripens one of the first, because it belongs to the early maturing varieties. The first tomatoes ripen 95-100 days after full sprouting;
  • the fruiting period is long - the plant continues to work until October. Even if the tomatoes did not have time to ripen, they are perfectly ripened at home;
  • the yield is very decent. According to the State Register, the yield of marketable fruits in film greenhouses was 12.5 - 15.8 kg per 1 square meter. In general, the hybrid is very productive, thanks to its good workload. The author of the novelty said that it is possible to remove from 5 to 7 kg from one plant, of course, subject to good care;
  • belonging to hybrids provides the plant with good health. The culture has a high resistance to fusarium wilt, verticillosis, root and apical rot, tomato mosaic virus, brown spots. Tomato growers also confirm the high immunity of the plant;
  • the transportability of the Brown bunch is excellent;
  • keeping quality subject to storage standards - until December. At the same time, the appearance and taste of the fruit do not suffer;
  • the way of use is universal.First of all, the harvest of this variety is used in its natural form. Tomatoes are able to withstand heat treatment, therefore they are used in canning. They are also suitable for salting and pickling.

Agrotechnics

Our hero is grown by the seedling method. The sowing time is best determined independently, taking into account the characteristics of the region. The age of seedlings ready for transplantation is 60 - 65 days. The recommended density of plants in the garden is 3-4 pieces. The bush must be tied to a trellis, formed into 1 - 2 stems, so that the load is maximum, but feasible for the plant. Passion-picking is carried out in a timely manner. Further care corresponds to the agricultural technology of indeterminate tomatoes. It is advisable to irrigate with warm water; universal fertilizers are included in top dressing.

Hybrid Brown bunch, despite its novelty, promises to become a favorite of many tomato growers. The plant is simply hung with bunches of tomatoes of an unusual color. The yield is remarkable, the disease resistance and taste are the great advantages of the variety. Of course, you have to work hard to get such a result, but thanks to this, success is guaranteed. The only negative is that the seeds are expensive, and you will have to buy them every time before planting.
