Apple variety Moscow later
Moskovskoe later - an apple tree selected by the Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov with fruits of late winter ripening period. Bred in 1961 through crossing 2 varieties - Cinnamon new x North synap... The authorship belongs to S.I. Isaev. Since 2001, the variety has been zoned.
Trees are vigorous. Crohn at a young age has a wide pyramidal shape, but over the years it changes to a wide oval; leafiness is medium or rare. The bark of the trunk and main branches is greenish-gray. The skeletal branches are characterized by an oblique-vertical arrangement.
Shoots are straight, rounded in cross-section, with strong pubescence, colored brownish-brown. The internodes are short. Lentils are medium in size, convex in shape, often found on the shoot. The leaves are large, elliptical or ovoid, the edges are serrate-crenate serrated, the tips are strongly pointed. The petioles are short, fleecy, colored along the entire length.
The fruits of the Moscow apple tree are later of higher average and large size (one apple weighs an average of 165 g, but the weight of the fruit can reach 210 - 235 g), aligned, regular round-conical shape, chiseled, with a smooth surface, without ribs. At the moment of ripening, the apples are greenish-yellow in basic color, the integumentary color is weak - a delicate pink blush on the sunny side of the fruit. At consumer maturity, the peel of apples acquires a golden-yellow basic color. The subcutaneous points are practically indistinguishable: they are small in size and are colored greenish. The stalks are medium in thickness, short, erect. The funnel is medium in width and depth, without rusting. The saucer is of medium depth, wide. The cup is half-open. The subcapital tube is short in length, broadly funnel-shaped in shape. The seed chambers are slightly open. Seeds are medium in size, broadly rounded, brown in color.
The pulp is white, dense, fine-grained, very juicy, with a pleasant light aroma, good sweet and sour taste, slightly spicy. In terms of chemical composition, the fruits contain: the sum of sugars (9.29%, depending on the region of growth, the range from 8.5 to 11.3% is permissible), titratable acids (0.94%, with the permissible range from 0.70 to 0 , 97%), tannins (55 mg / 100 g, with allowable limits from 41 to 67 mg / 100 g), ascorbic acid (8.8 mg / 100 g, with allowable limits from 7.1 to 10.5 mg / 100 g), P-active substances (0.15 mg / 100 g, with allowable limits from 0.12 to 0.25 mg / 100 g), pectin substances (8.7%, with allowable limits from 6.5 up to 11.3%) on dry weight. Moskovskoe later belongs to the varieties of universal use.
The period of removable maturity of the fruit falls on the end of September. Apples reach consumer maturity almost immediately after picking. The variety is characterized by an exceptionally high keeping quality: fruits are stored until May, and in some years - until a new harvest.
The early fruiting of the apple tree is low: the parent tree fruited in the 10th year of life, but the seedlings obtained through reproduction begin bearing fruit a little earlier - in the 6th - 7th year. Average yield - 160 kg / tree (110 kg / ha). The variety is endowed with a high adaptive capacity. Good winter hardiness (above average). Scab resistance is quite high.
The obvious advantages of the Moscow apple tree later are: a very high keeping quality of fruits, high consumer qualities of fruits, a high level of winter hardiness and resistance to scab.
No significant shortcomings have yet been found, but the tendency of the crown to thicken has been noted.
Immediately I apologize ... How to find out the true truth about this variety? On another site I read that it came from the pollination of Welsey and Antonovka. Because Antonovka is already present in my garden, I would like an apple with a different taste and aroma. Thank.
You need to go to the site of Isaev varieties.
You are confusing it with the Moscow winter variety.
