Tyutchevka - cherry of late ripening. Bred at the All-Russian Research Institute of Lupin through crossing varieties 3-36 and Red dense. The authorship belongs to M.V. Kanshina. This cherry is perfect for growing in the middle zone of Russia.
In 2001, the variety was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation for the Central Region.
Medium sized trees with fast growth rates. The crown is rare, spherical, spreading or semi-spreading. Shoots are thick, straight, brown colored. The buds are of medium size, vegetative - pointed, conical, generative - ovoid. The leaves are large, their shape is narrow, oval, the top is strongly pointed, the base is rounded, the edge is framed with crenate serration. The leaf blade is without roughness, dark green in color, not pubescent, folded like a boat. The petioles are thick, short, highly pigmented along the entire length, each with 2 large, highly pigmented glands.
Inflorescences are four-flowered. The petals are touching. The corolla is saucer-shaped. Calyx narrow-calico, sepals without serration. The stigma of the pistil is at the same height as the anthers, the pistil and stamens are long. Fruiting is concentrated on bouquet branches (up to 86% of fruit ovaries).
Cherry fruits Tyutchevka large size (average weight - 5.3 g, maximum - 7.4 g; height - 2.2 cm, thickness - 2 cm, width - 2.3 cm), wide-round shape, with a rounded top, medium funnel ... The skin is dark red, the integumentary color is dark red with specks. The stalks are thick, of medium length. Seeds weighing up to 0.31 g (up to 6% of the total weight of the berry), oval, with a pointed tip and rounded base, light brown in color. The separation of the bone from the pulp is average. The separation of the berry from the stalk is dry.
The pulp is red in color, dense structure, cartilaginous consistency, the taste is juicy, sweet. The juice is light red. Tasting assessment of the taste of the variety - 4.9 points out of 5 maximum. By chemical composition, the fruits contain: dry substances (18.4 - 20.5%), the sum of sugars (11.1 - 13.1%), acids (0.4 - 0.41%), ascorbic acid (13 - 13.6 mg / 100 g).
The use of the variety is universal. Fruit transportability is good.
Flowering takes place in mid-late periods, ripening - in late (late July - early August). The trees begin to bear fruit in the 5th year. In wet years, some of the berries crack.
The productivity of the variety is high. The average yield is 16 kg / der. (or 97 c / ha), maximum - 40 kg / der. (or 275 c / ha).
The level of winter hardiness of trees and flower buds is quite high. After harsh winters, the freezing of trees did not exceed 0.8 points, the buds died up to 20%, with spring frosts during the flowering period (at a temperature of minus 3 ... 5 ° C) the pistils froze up to 72%.
This cherry is highly resistant to moniliosis, moderately resistant to clotterosporia and coccomycosis.
The level of self-pollination of the variety is low (up to 6% of fruits). To increase productivity, it is recommended to use varieties as pollinators: Bryanskaya pink, Iput, Ovstuzhenka, Raditsa, Revna.
