Cucumber variety Taganay (F1)

The collection of the company Uralsky summer resident can boast of excellent varietal cucumbers, which are loved by many gardeners. Among them, a special place is occupied by the Taganay hybrid. It was obtained in the classical way, that is, by selection, without the use of genetic modification. But this plant is striking in its capabilities. This cucumber can be cultivated throughout Russia, including where climatic conditions can hardly be called favorable - in the Urals and Siberia.

Description

A feature of the variety is intense branching, which is why the main stem does not grow very quickly. Together with this, a powerful clump is formed, which provides a high yield. Half-open scourges. Leaves are medium in size, green in color with well visible veins. The petiole is long. The leaf blade and petiole are rough to the touch. The internodes are short. In each node, 2 - 3 ovaries are formed. The fruits of Taganay are beautiful, gherkin type, cylindrical in shape, leveled in size, 8 - 10 cm long. The skin is dark green, large tuberous, covered with white small thorns. The pulp is dense, crispy, without voids, no bitterness. Cucumbers taste great.

• the application is universal. In its natural form, it is used for salads, it is also good in salting and pickling. Small greens are ideal for pickles production.

Features of agricultural technology

The plant requires attention to itself, without proper care it is impossible to count on a good return. This unusual hybrid can (and should) be grown in a spread. But this method is only suitable for an ordinary garden bed. In the greenhouse, the cucumber must be tied up. During the formation of the ovary and ripening of the fruits, frequent watering (only with warm water) and timely fertilization are required. The crop must be harvested every day. Planting cannot be thickened. There should be no more than 2 plants per 1 square meter.

Seeds for seedlings are sown in early May. They are planted in the ground in late May or early June, when 3-4 true leaves appear on the seedlings.

Only 3 plants of this variety are able to provide the whole family with a delicious vegetable, the harvest of which will be enough for the preparation of conservation. The hybrid quickly forms fruit ovaries regardless of weather conditions and is not afraid of diseases. On the street, the plant can bear fruit until the first frost; in the greenhouse it is cultivated all year round.

The disadvantage of Taganay is agricultural technology, which requires the daily presence of a gardener. After all, the cucumber needs to be fed, watered, and harvested on time. Seeds will have to be bought annually, since nothing similar will grow from self-collected seeds.
