Number one mushroom 147 is an old, proven variety of White Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata). Ripens early. Bred by employees of the All-Russian Research Institute of Breeding and Seed Production of Vegetable Crops by the method of family selection from a hybrid of German origin. Added to the State Security Service of the Russian Federation in 1940. Distributed throughout Russia.

Most often this variety is called simply "mushroom cabbage" or "mushroom cabbage 147".

The period from the emergence of seedlings to the onset of technical ripeness is 100 - 110 days. From the moment of planting seedlings in the ground to ripening, 60 - 80 days pass (ripens 7 - 10 days later than the variety June).

The leaf rosette is semi-raised, compact, small or medium-sized (40 - 80 cm). Leaves are smooth, rounded, sessile (without petioles), small in size, green in color, with a slight waxy bloom, slightly wavy along the edge.

Heads of cabbage of medium density, small or medium-sized, round or flat-round, even, with an average weight of 1 - 2 kg, white-greenish color. Internal stump from short to medium length. Productivity - 250 - 670 kg / ha. Productivity per sq. meters - 6 - 8 kg. The output of marketable products is up to 98%.

This cabbage is recommended to be consumed fresh, because it is stored badly. The variety is characterized by a high content of vitamin C. The chemical composition of the cabbage is as follows: dry matter - 7.1 - 9.6%, the amount of sugars - 3.3 - 4.6%, ascorbic acid - 21 - 41 mg /%.

Advantages of cabbage Gribovskaya 147: good taste, amicable ripening of heads, resistance to drought and low temperatures.

The main disadvantage of this variety is its poor resistance to cracking. Therefore, it is necessary to harvest in a timely manner - immediately after the formation of the head of cabbage. Also among the disadvantages is the susceptibility to keel and vascular bacteriosis.
