Baron is an early ripe potato variety (Solanum tuberosum) for table use. It was obtained by breeders of the Ural Research Institute of Agriculture in the early 2000s. In 2006 it was included in the state register of plants of the Russian Federation. Zoned in three regions of the country: Volgo-Vyatka, West Siberian, Far East. It is considered one of the best early ripening varieties for cultivation in the Ural region. Prone to scab damage.

The plant is tall, leaf type. Stems are semi-erect, slightly colored. Leaves are medium in size, open type, green in color. The edges of the leaf plate are moderately or slightly wavy. Corolla is medium, light reddish-violet in color.

The variety has excellent taste. The tubers are well boiled, in the finished form, the pulp is crumbly, with a pleasant consistency.
