Adam is an early ripening parthenocarpic hybrid of cucumber supplied to the market by one of the leading seed breeding companies - the Dutch agricultural company Bejo Zaden B.V.. The period from sowing seeds to the appearance of fruits is 41 - 52 days.

In 2002, the variety was included in the state register of plants of the Russian Federation for garden plots, home gardens and small farms. Approved for use in all regions of Russia. In terms of cultivation, this hybrid is versatile: suitable for both open ground and protected (glazed and film greenhouses, temporary film shelters).

Plants are medium-sized, indeterminate, female flowering type. The leaves are small; leaf color - from green to dark green. Growing on a net or trellis greatly facilitates the harvesting process when growing cucumber Adam in the open field.

Fruits are cylindrical, with small tubercles, leveled, 9 - 10 cm long, 3 - 3.7 cm in diameter, weighing 90 - 95 grams; the ratio of length to diameter is 3.2: 1. The skin is thin, green or dark green, with a slight spotting and short light stripes. The pubescence is very frequent. The thorns are white, prickly. The pulp is firm, with a good taste. The seeds are small. Marketable yield is quite high - 8 - 10 kg / sq. Meter. Fruiting is abundant throughout the growing season. With a delay in harvesting, the fruits do not grow in length, but become barrel-shaped. Although in this form, they do not lose their aesthetic appearance.

The hybrid is characterized by good plant regeneration after stressful conditions, as well as disease resistance (brown spot, cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew). Downy mildew resistance is low - only 3 points out of 10.

This variety, due to its one-dimensionality, neat shape and size of the fruit, is ideal for pickling and pickling. Suitable for picking gherkins.
