Emerald Stream is a popular early ripening cucumber hybrid bred by breeders of the Sedek agricultural firm (Moscow). Designed for growing in open ground and under temporary film shelters in personal subsidiary plots. In 2007, it was included in the state register of plants of the Russian Federation in all regions. The authors of the variety are I.N. Dubinina, S.V. Dubinin and A.N. Lukyanenko.

Parthenocarpic hybrid, unpretentious in care. Suitable for spring-summer and summer-autumn circulation. From the emergence of seedlings to the removal of the first zelents, 40 - 44 days pass.

The plants are vigorous, medium-growing, with exclusively female flowers in the axils. They react very well to the pinching of lateral shoots by the formation of new ovaries. Leaves are dark green, medium in size. At the same time, 4 - 5 fruits can be poured on the bush. When growing, it is advisable to use a trellis or mesh.

Fruits are elongated-cylindrical, often curved, slightly ribbed, medium tuberous, with a long handle (neck). Zelentsy are very long - from 30 to 50 cm, thin, weighing 200 - 300 grams. The skin is thin, dark green, with short whitish stripes. Pubescence is of medium density. The thorns are white, prickly. The pulp is tasty, sweetish, aromatic, crunchy, without bitterness. The seed chamber is small, the seeds are small. In the open field, the yield of marketable fruits is 5 - 7 kg / square meter. Fruiting is continuous, long - until the very frost, right up to the first snow.

High yields Emerald Stream gives even when grown on the balcony. But when planting it at home, you need to take into account that the plants are very powerful - and you need a lot of space for them.

The variety is very good fresh and in summer salads - one cucumber can be used to make a salad for the whole family. It is also not bad in light-salted form, but it is better to use other varieties for canning. Although, not overripe thin fruits can be salted and pickled by cutting them into several parts.

The hybrid is highly resistant to powdery mildew and cold snaps, as well as shade tolerance and drought tolerance.
