Cucumber variety Paratunka (F1)

Paratunka is a hybrid of an early ripening cucumber supplied to the Russian market by the agricultural firm Semko-Junior (Moscow). Bred by Yu.B. Alekseev. In 2006 it was included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation. Approved for use in seven regions of Russia - North, North-West, Volgo-Vyatka, Central, Middle Volga, North Caucasian and Central black earth. Designed for indoor and outdoor cultivation of private garden plots.

The Paratunka variety is parthenocarpic (pollination is not required), hardy, not picky about care. Recommended for growing in spring and summer circulation. The period from the emergence of full shoots to the collection of the first fruits is 40 - 43 days. Fruiting lasts until autumn frosts.

Plants are medium-sized, medium-branched, with exclusively female flowers, of an indeterminate type (the growth of the central stem is not limited by the flower race). Leaves are green in color, medium in size. In one leaf sinus, from two to three fruits are tied. Recommended planting density - 3 - 4 plants / square meter.

Cucumbers are cylindrical, medium lumpy, slightly ribbed, with a short neck. The skin is tender, dark green, with white stripes a third of the length of the fruit. Pubescence is of medium density. The thorns are white, sharp. The pulp is crispy, aromatic, sweet, without bitterness. The mass of the greenery is 80 - 100 grams, the length is 8 - 10 cm, the diameter is 2 - 3 cm. The yield of marketable fruits is 12 - 16 kg / square meter.

A variety of universal use - suitable for fresh consumption and canning. It shows its best qualities when pickling. Fresh and canned fruits have excellent taste properties.

This hybrid is characterized by resistance to brown spot and powdery mildew, and tolerant to bacteriosis. Easily tolerates fluctuations in air temperature.

Advantages of Paratunka cucumber: excellent taste of fruits, high yield, marketability and transportability.

The disadvantages include the high price of seeds.

In central Russia, planting in greenhouses is carried out in the second half of May, in open ground - in early June.

This year Paratunka was planted - I am very happy. We harvest a bucket every day. The cucumbers are all the same, small. On the next one I will definitely sit again. I recommend. P. S. We grow in a greenhouse.
