Cucumber variety Chinese miracle
The Chinese miracle is a medium-ripening cucumber variety supplied to the Russian and Ukrainian markets under various trade marks.
Plants are tall, do not require special shaping. The leaves are dark green, medium in size. It is recommended to place the whips on a net or trellis so that the cucumbers do not curl.
Ribbed fruits; at the beginning of growth, they are large tuberous, with age they become small tuberous. Fruit length - 45 - 55 cm. The skin is dark green, thin, smooth. Pubescence is of medium density. The thorns are white. The pulp is dense, juicy, crispy, sweetish, genetically without bitterness. There are few seeds and they are small. The fruiting period is long - until September.
The variety is salad, but the taste of canned fruits is at a high level. When harvesting for the winter, the fruits, of course, are cut into slices.
This variety is characterized by unpretentiousness, increased cold and heat resistance, resistance to common diseases. The fruits do not outgrow and do not lose their taste if they are not picked in time. However, you should not hesitate too long with cleaning, because over time, the cucumbers begin to turn yellow.
Advantages of cucumber Chinese miracle: excellent taste properties of fresh and canned fruits, transportability, high yield.
The disadvantages include weak resistance to abrupt climate change.
Planting this variety for me was an experiment, I was surprised by the picture from a pack of seeds. Yes, the fruits are really long (about 30 cm), but only very crooked when grown horizontally. When grown vertically (on a trellis), it is a little smoother and will only work for salad. Fruiting for about a month, a variety of average yield.
I planted him this year. I cannot say that I was 100% pleased. I also cannot say with certainty the reason that the variety is bad. Perhaps it was in the weather conditions of this summer, because there was no big harvest for all the cucumbers. As for the Chinese miracle, the germination rate was low. Subcultured 2 times. There were many barren flowers. The first cucumbers appeared in early July. They were more or less even and liked the taste, especially the children - without bitterness. Subsequent ones are thin and with a curled tip. They looked unappetizing to me. Due to the fact that they were tied up, they bore fruit until mid-September, but scarcely. Yes, they already did not want to. We ate salads until that time, they are not suitable for preservation, so I handed them out.
