Cucumber variety Prima Donna (F1)
The prima donna is a hybrid of an early ripening cucumber, bred by breeders of the Sedek company (Moscow). In 2007, it was included in the state register of breeding achievements of the Russian Federation in the West Siberian (Altai Republic, Altai Territory, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tomsk and Tyumen regions) region. Designed for growing in open ground and under film shelters in personal subsidiary plots. It will also take root well on the balcony, terrace and windowsill. The authorship is assigned to I.N. Dubinina, M.I. Kirillov and S.V. Dubinin.
Variety Prima Donna is parthenocarpic, with bundle formation of ovaries. The period from germination to harvest is 35 - 45 days.
Plants are vigorous, strongly plaited, indeterminate, female flowering type. The leaves are large, green in color. The average number of ovaries in a knot is 3 - 4 pcs., The maximum is 6 - 9 pcs.
Cucumbers are oval-cylindrical, narrowed at the top, slightly ribbed, with numerous small tubercles on the surface. The length of the greenery is 10 - 12 cm, the weight is 85 - 110 grams. The skin is dark green, lighter at the crown. The thorns are white. The pulp is firm, without bitterness. The yield of marketable fruits is 260 - 416 kg / ha, which is slightly higher than the results of the standard Altai variety. Productivity in greenhouses reaches 25 - 28 kg / sq. meter. Fruiting lasts until the frost. You can collect at the stage of gherkins (5 - 8 cm).
A variety for universal use. Does not form voids when canned.
This hybrid has complex resistance to common cucumber diseases, as well as to temperature extremes.
