Cucumber variety Bundle splendor (F1)

The bundle splendor is a hybrid of an early ripening cucumber from the Ural agricultural firm Mars. Suitable for growing in open and protected ground (film greenhouses and tunnels, glass greenhouses).

Cucumber variety Bundle splendor

The variety is parthenocarpic (pollination by bees is not required), gherkin type, with bundle formation of ovaries.

Plants are medium-branchy, light-loving, female flowering type. The leaves are small, green in color. One leaf sinus contains from 3 to 7 ovaries. Recommended stocking density - up to 2 plants / square meter. Plants are characterized by the second type of self-regulation of branching, in which the abundance of overflowing cucumbers on the central stem inhibits the intensive growth of lateral shoots.

They form the bundle splendor strictly into one stem. This improves the illumination of the leaves of the main stem, and the ovaries located on it receive a sufficient amount of nutrients. First, in order for the plant to gain strength, the first 3 - 4 leaf sinuses are blinded. Then, to the very top of the trellis, all side shoots are removed, leaving only the ovaries. It turns out that on the central stem in each node there is one leaf and a bunch of ovaries.

After harvesting the first crop, fertilizing with nitrogen fertilizer is carried out. Thanks to this feeding, new fruits will begin to pour in the nodes. Watering should be abundant.

Fruits are cylindrical, narrowed at the apex, with medium-sized tubercles. The length of the green is 8 - 11 cm. The skin is light green in color (dark green at the base), with short white stripes. The thorns are white. The pubescence is dense.

The variety is intended for fresh and canned consumption. Fresh, pickled and pickled cucumbers have high taste properties.

This hybrid is characterized by resistance to a wide range of temperatures, tolerates cold snaps well, therefore it is preferable for the northern regions of Russia, as well as for growing in areas located in lowlands, where sudden temperature changes and cold fogs are possible. Resistant to powdery mildew, brown spot (cladosporium) and cucumber mosaic virus; tolerant to downy mildew (peronosporosis). Fruiting lasts until the frost. Harvesting is carried out daily. The yield declared by the manufacturer, achieved with good agricultural technology, is 40 kg / sq. meter per season or up to 400 fruits per plant.

Advantages of cucumber Bundle splendor: abundant fruiting, early maturity, versatility, excellent fruit taste, disease resistance.

The main disadvantages of the variety: demanding care, very expensive seeds.

Do not buy. Not a single seed emerged from 4 bags of 5 each.

Planted this year for the first time. From 5 seeds, 4 bushes sprouted. We ate the first cucumber at the end of June (planted it in a greenhouse for the May holidays). Cucumbers grow medium-sized, straight one to one, the very thing for canning. Very tasty. But of course you are very worried whether they will sprout or not, since their seeds are not cheap, and I do not know how to grow on seeds.
