Rose Bella Vita (Bella Vita +)

Hybrid tea roses are the most common type of the most beautiful representative of the flower world. It is sometimes difficult for other varieties to argue with the varietal variety and elegance of this large class. But breeders do not stop at the achieved results, offering rose growers new varieties competing with each other in beauty. Bella Vita rose can be compared to a real princess in the hybrid tea collection, this two-tone beauty is so fresh and tender. It is a cut variety, and therefore requires a slightly different approach to cultivation. But gardeners often plant it as a garden plant.

Origin

The breeders of the Lex Voorn company (Netherlands) worked on the creation of our heroine. The novelty was presented as Bella Vita +. The name translated from Italian means "beautiful life". And you can't argue with that, looking at a beautiful flower. There is no exact information about the parental forms, but some sources suggest that Bella Vita is a cultivar of another cultivar created by Lex Voorn in 2001, which is called Dolce Vita (sweet life). Both roses are very similar not only in characteristics, but also in appearance, however, our heroine is distinguished by a brighter edging of the petals. The older sister is better known, but there is not a lot of information about our new product, and the existing one is very contradictory.

Description

The bush is upright, well-branched, usually reaches a height of 60 - 100 cm, but can grow another couple of tens of centimeters with good care. The crown is compact, not spreading, the width of the bush is from 60 to 70 cm. The stems are thin, but strong. Their main difference is the almost complete absence of thorns. The foliage of the plant is good. The leaves are relatively large, rich green, with a slightly shiny surface. As a rule, the shoot is crowned with a single flower.

Bella Vita's bud is large, goblet-shaped, traditional for the hybrid tea species. The flower is terry, it consists of beautifully arranged 17 - 25 petals, although some growers claim that their number can reach 40 pieces. The bud opens slowly, while the center is closed and slightly rises above the extreme petals. Even in the stage of complete dissolution, the rose does not show the middle. The charm of our heroine is given by the light waviness of the petals and an unusually delicate color scheme. The petals are painted in the most delicate shade of pink, and only their edges stand out due to the narrow border of a contrasting crimson color, so the bud that has not blossomed seems bright. The flower rosette is above average, its diameter is from 6 to 10 cm, but some sources say that the flower can be larger - up to 14 cm in diameter. But there is other information, some rose growers are upset that the outlet is too small - about 5 cm.

Bloom

Bella Vita is a re-flowering variety that can show good sprouting during the season, and therefore abundant flowering, which should begin in mid-June and end with the onset of frost. But flower growers call the hybrid tea princess extremely moody and stingy with flowering. The buds form, but they often wither without opening. What's the matter? And the fact is that, for example, a plant intended for cutting is not very adapted to life in the open field in the Moscow region. In central Russia, our heroine grows well and blooms in greenhouses. For a lush bloom, the crop must grow in a warm and dry climate, at temperatures between 20 and 25 ° C. In such conditions, a delicate rose is able to show abundant flowering, while the flower rosette is able to maintain the freshness of the petals and color for a rather long time. The aroma of our heroine is very light, subtle, pleasant. At the moment of flowering, the rosette looks somewhat untidy, so it is better to cut it off.

Characteristics

  • Bella Vita can bloom the next year after planting in the fall.But gardeners write that they often have to wait 2 - 3 years for full flowering;
  • the originators claim good frost resistance of the rose they created. The variety is capable of wintering in USDA zone 6 (according to the system adopted by the US Department of Agriculture) at a maximum allowable temperature of minus 23.3 ° C;
  • the immunity is average. The culture is relatively resistant to major diseases, but it can get sick in unfavorable epiphytic years;
  • resistance to rain withered medium. But, according to reviews, in damp weather, the buds pupate quickly and do not bloom. Blooming rose petals become stained and begin to rot;
  • our heroine does not tolerate too high an air temperature, almost does not bloom;
  • Since the variety was created as a cut crop, it has a long and sturdy stem that proudly bears an elegant bud. In a vase, a rose does not lose its freshness for a long time.

Planting and leaving

Bella Vita can be planted in spring (March - May) or autumn (September - October). Given the capriciousness of culture, try to find the most comfortable place for it. In central Russia, the site should be located in the sun, and in hot climates - in light partial shade. The cold wind prevailing in the winter period for our heroine is categorically contraindicated. But a light breeze during the growing season will help to quickly get rid of excess moisture and prevent the spread of fungal diseases. The soil should be loose, nutritious and neutral in acidity. Water in the morning or evening, strictly at the root. It is impossible to overmoisten or overdry the soil. Top dressing is applied at least 3 times per season. In the spring, you can use organic matter, potash fertilizers - closer to autumn. Organic materials can also be used as mulch for warming in winter. Pruning is carried out in the spring, leaving at least 4 buds. Remove old, frozen or growing shoots inside the bush. But best of all, our heroine grows in protected ground, where it is easiest for her to create the most comfortable conditions.

Use cases

Graceful Bella Vita is perfect for a bouquet for any festive event. Its harmonious and delicate color combination will emphasize the solemnity of an unforgettable moment of the wedding ceremony. Florists are happy to use this beautiful flower to create exquisite compositions. But the variety will also be good in a flower bed, surrounded by other flowers or in a solo planting among a green lawn. She is able to give a note of aristocracy to garden sculptures or a simple gazebo for relaxation.

Beautiful Bella Vita captivates with her delicate beauty at first sight. Many growers try to grow it as a garden plant and often fail. This is because our heroine belongs to the cutting species, which are more adapted to greenhouse conditions. But in a warm, dry climate and with your help, the rose is able to withstand the main diseases of the culture and shows good winter hardiness.
