Rose Norita
Although the rose is called the queen of flowers, this title does not fully correspond to every plant whose progenitor is an ordinary wild rose. For this, the culture must have truly luxurious flowers. The specified title is quite worthy of a variety of European selection with the beautiful name of Norita. She will certainly become your favorite.
History of appearance
This variety has existed since 1966. It was bred in France by the breeder Maurice Combe. This variety of roses, which, by the way, belongs to the group of tea hybrids, has many other names, including quite euphonic ones: Norita-Schwarze Rose, Magia Nera, Selbar 0115, COMsor.
Description of appearance and features
The owner of the melodic name is a compact bush (about 50 cm wide, up to 1 meter high) with elastic shoots prone to branching and a small number of thorns. Perennial leaves are large, leathery, dark green in color, with a shiny surface. With the arrival of summer, the elegant plant acquires dark red, goblet, elongated, pointed buds, which bloom a little later, turning into double, deep red cup-shaped flowers. Their size is 10-12 cm. Each flower of the Norita variety is formed from more than 50 petals, and pleases the eye with a convex juicy-red core. Flowers form one at a time at the ends of sturdy stems. They have a magnificent, intense aroma that is dizzy. Often, the lower petals of the inflorescence are painted in almost black tones. This gives the Frenchwoman a special charm. Norita is a multi-flowering variety. The rose bloom is distinguished by its splendor and abundance.
The culture is characterized by high winter hardiness. Its shoots are not damaged by frosts down to -27 ° C, so the ornamental bush may well hibernate without shelter. Also, the variety is characterized by excellent resistance to fungal diseases. The flowers of the noble plant remain practically intact and unharmed even after heavy rain. In the bright sun, delicate flower petals may burn slightly, but the color itself does not fade as a result of exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
Growing and care
Norita is a light-loving plant, but this does not mean at all that a beautiful rose can be in direct sunlight all day long. For the good of the French diva, a shrub should be placed in the area of the site where openwork penumbra reigns. The soil for a spectacular beauty is chosen nutritious, light, drained, with good water and air permeability, with a slightly acidic reaction, best of all - loam. Before planting a crop, the soil must be improved by adding humus, peat, compost and sand to the garden soil. The planting procedure itself can be carried out both in the spring (in April or the first half of May) and in the fall, before the onset of frost.
Norite requires regular feeding, watering, loosening and mulching the soil in the area of the trunk circle, as well as pruning. Moisten the soil under a rose bush 1-2 times a week. Top dressing of the plant should take place in spring and summer, when the perennial begins to show its buds, and then delightful flowers. Pruning a rose is needed in spring and autumn. With the arrival of heat, dead and too weak shoots are removed, and strong stems are shortened to 5-7 buds. In the fall, the shrub is thinned out, dry and damaged branches are also removed, at the end all other shoots are cut off somewhat. Shelter may be needed only for a young plant. After pruning, it is spud with dry soil, and then insulated with spruce branches or agrospan.
Use cases
The chic Frenchwoman Norita can decorate both a rose garden and an ordinary front garden, flower garden, garden, park, square. It is planted in flower beds, in mixborders and ridges, on the sides of garden paths. The variety is appropriate for mixed compositions. Successful companions for him are irises, phloxes, clematis, daylilies, heuchera, geranium, delphinium, foxglove. Decorative flowering perennial looks good in compositions with miniature evergreens: for example, dwarf pines, globular low-growing thuja, boxwood. Group plantings of shrubs of this variety look good against the background of an emerald green lawn. Norita is also grown for cutting, since the wonderful rose flowers do not crumble for 1.5-2 weeks, and bouquets with fragrant red inflorescences are simply amazing.
