Graceful Shakira is another creation of Meilland International, a rose-growing company based in France. The culture is a representative of the hybrid tea group. This is a vigorous shrub with erect, rigid shoots, practically devoid of thorns. The crown of the rose looks compact, even and neat due to its small width (about 60 cm) and plant height, ranging from 80 to 100 cm. The maximum "growth" of a perennial can be 1.2 meters. The shoots of the plant are covered with large leaves with a glossy sheen and bright green color.
The variety blooms in May and produces many large, up to 12 cm in girth, densely double flowers. Some call their shade crimson, others - bright pink, still others - cyclamen. A spectacular detail of the inflorescences is a lilac or lilac edging. The number of velvety petals in each bud reaches 55-60 pieces. As it blooms, its shape changes from classic to cupped. The flowers stay on the bush for a long time, from 10 to 14 days, exuding a pleasant delicate aroma with fruity and spicy notes. Plants are pruned in the spring, removing all old, dead, frozen, diseased and too weak shoots. In the fall, the bush is spud with peat or dry soil.
