Apple variety Papiroyantarnoe

Papiroyantarnoe is an apple variety with a late summer period of fruit ripening, obtained by crossing two varieties, the fruits of which are devoid of integumentary color - Papirovka x Amber. Place of hatching - Sverdlovsk Horticultural Selection Station. The author is L.A. Kotov. The variety is included in the State Register for the Ural Region.

The trees are medium-sized, the crown is full, strong, round in shape. Skeletal branches extend from the trunk at a wide angle.

Apple variety Papiroyantarnoe

Fruits are one-dimensional, medium or large in size, rounded, gently ribbed. The average weight of an apple is 100 - 120 g, the largest specimens can reach 140 - 200 g. The skin on the fruits is dry and smooth. Apples are light yellow amber in color, less often - snow-white, very similar to liquid ones. There is no cover color on the fruit. Funnel of small size, without rusting. The saucer is small and quite wide.

The pulp of the fruit is creamy white, dense, fine-grained structure, very tender, juicy, with a noticeable pleasant aroma. The variety surpasses Papirovka in taste characteristics. Apples are characterized by a very good and excellent sweet and sour taste of the dessert type. On a 5-point tasting scale, the taste is 4.4 points. In terms of chemical composition, the fruits of the Papiroyantarnoye apple tree contain: dry soluble substances (13.5%), the amount of sugars (10.8%), acids (0.8%), vitamin C (19.8 mg / 100 g), vitamin P (catechins) (258 mg / 100 g). Apples are suitable for fresh consumption and processing.

The period of removable fruit ripeness falls on the end of August (20th). Apples are usually stored for 1.5-2 months, maximum - up to 3 months.

The early maturity of the apple tree is average, fruiting occurs 5 - 7 years after vaccination. Yields are stable, the average yield in the Ural region for 5 years was 62 c / ha. Winter hardiness is high enough. Disease and pest resistance is good. In wet years, scab affection of leaves and fruits is weak.

In addition to the brighter taste of Papiroyantarny apples, in comparison with Papirovka, the variety is distinguished by higher frost resistance, denser pulp and a longer shelf life of the fruit. In comparison with the Ural variety Yantar, the fruits of the Papiroyantarnoe apple tree are larger, and the resistance to scab is noticeably higher.

According to most experienced gardeners, the variety is promising not only for the Urals, but also for the western regions of Russia.
