Honeysuckle variety Raisin
The highlight is the medium-ripening honeysuckle selection of the South Ural Research Institute of Horticulture and Potato Growing (FGBNU YUNIISK, Shershni settlement, Chelyabinsk Region). Acts as a seedling of Kamchatka honeysuckle from free pollination. The authorship belongs to V.S. Ilyin and N.A. Ilyina.

Since 1999, the variety has been included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation.
The bushes are medium-sized (1.3 m high), with a compact, slightly spreading crown of an inverse conical shape. Shoots are long, of medium thickness, matte, with pubescence, slightly curved, in color - light green with an anthocyanin sheen. Leaves are medium-sized, broadly lanceolate, slightly fleecy, light green. The leaf blade is concave, sharpened and twisted at the apex.
The flowers are of medium size, pale in color.
Honeysuckle berries Raisin large (weighing from 0.76 to 1.2 grams, average fruit weight - 1.1 grams, length - from 1.8 to 2.7 cm, the largest berries reach 1.3 -1.6 grams) , oblong-oval, slightly laterally compressed, slightly bumpy surface. The skin is of medium thickness, bluish-blue in color, without pubescence, intensely covered with a gray waxy bloom.
The pulp is fibrous, aromatic, with a good sour-sweet taste, without bitterness. Tasting score - from 4.0 (north-western part of Russia) to 4.8 points (in Ukraine).
According to the biochemical composition, the fruits contain: dry matter (13.9%), the amount of sugars (8.9%), acids (2.1%), ascorbic acid (48 mg / 100 g), P-active compounds (950 mg %). A variety of universal use: it is used fresh, but also suitable for processing.
The yield level is good (not too high, but stable): 0.9 - 1.4 kg / bush, or an average of 22 c / ha, maximum - 30 c / ha. The crumbling rate of ripe berries is low. The overall level of winter hardiness of the variety is estimated to be very high. The degree of freezing of the bushes is not higher than 1 point.
The level of resistance of Honeysuckle Zest to major diseases is quite high. Possible damage from aphids and sucking insects.
Among the main advantages of the variety: large berries with good taste, non-shedding, high winter hardiness, stable yields, compact bushes.
No significant deficiencies were found.
I planted several bushes on the site and was not disappointed. The berry is delicious! She made jam from it, made compote, or simply consumed it raw.
