Cabbage variety Centurion (F1)
Centurion is a mid-late hybrid of White Cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata), bred by breeders of the French-American company HM.Clause. In 2010 it was entered into the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation. Approved for use in the North Caucasus region. Suitable for commercial production.
From the emergence of mass shoots to the onset of technical ripeness, 100 - 120 days pass.
The leaf rosette is raised. The leaves are bubbly, medium-sized, blue-green in color with a waxy bloom of medium intensity; the edge of the leaf is slightly wavy. Heads of cabbage are covered, round, rather dense (4.3 points), weighing from 2.5 to 5 kg. The color of the head of cabbage on the cut is yellowish-white; the internal structure is thin. The inner stump, like the outer one, is short. The yield of commercial heads of cabbage is 450 - 610 c / ha, which exceeds the yield of standard varieties Kryumont and Amtrak by 30 - 130 c / ha; the maximum yield is 650 c / ha (data for the Krasnodar Territory). The output of marketable products is 88%.
This hybrid is characterized by resistance to high temperatures and fusarium wilting, as well as relative resistance to thrips.
Cabbage Centurion is suitable for fresh consumption, fermentation, preparation of various dishes and short storage (until February - March), although under optimal conditions it is stored until May. The taste properties of this cabbage are excellent - this is confirmed by numerous reviews on the Internet.
Advantages of the variety: high yield, disease resistance, high taste.
