In 2010 it was entered into the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation. Approved for use in the North Caucasus region. Suitable for commercial production.
From mass shoots to technical ripeness, 110 - 120 days pass.
Horizontal leaf rosette. Leaves are large, slightly bubbly, blue-green, have a waxy bloom of medium intensity; the edge of the leaf is slightly wavy. Heads of cabbage are round, covered, very dense (4.8 points), with an average weight of 2.5 - 3.5 kg (maximum weight - 6 kg). The color of the head of cabbage is white on the cut. The inner stump is short, the outer one is of medium length. The yield of marketable cabbage heads Brigadier is 430 - 700 c / ha, which is 80 - 100 c / ha higher than the yield of standard varieties Present and Favorite. The maximum yield is 710 c / ha (data for the Rostov region). The output of marketable products is high - 93%.
This hybrid is characterized by a high content of vitamin C. It is recommended to use it fresh and fermented, as well as for short storage for 4 - 5 months (until February - March). In terms of taste, it is inferior to the variety Glory 1305.
The Brigadier cabbage is characterized by resistance to drought and high temperatures, thrips and fusarium, and also stands in the field for a long time without cracking (up to 4 - 6 weeks).
Advantages of the variety: good keeping quality, high taste properties of cabbages, resistance to unfavorable conditions.
The main disadvantage is the high price of seeds.
