Cucumber variety Artist (F1)
The artist is a hybrid of an early maturing cucumber from the Dutch seed company Bejo (Bejo Zaden B.V.). In 2010, the variety was included in the state register of the Russian Federation. Approved for use in all regions of Russia. Recommended for cultivation in personal subsidiary plots. Suitable for both open ground and greenhouses and film shelters. The first fruits appear 38 - 45 days after germination. Throughout the entire fruiting period, a high yield is observed. To facilitate the collection of fruits, cultivation on a trellis is desirable.
Plants are vigorous, medium-branched, parthenocarpic (no pollination by bees is required), indeterminate (with unlimited growth), with a strong root system. Leaves are green and dark green in color, medium to large.
The fruits of the cucumber Artist are flattened, cylindrical, large tubercles, with white pubescence, short, gherkin type, weighing 90 - 95 grams. The surface is green, with very short light stripes and slight mottling. The thorns are small and frequent. The skin is thick. Medium density pulp with good taste. The cucumber has a length to diameter ratio of 3.3: 1. In one node, 1 - 2 cucumbers are formed. The marketable yield is 8.5 kg / m2.
Variety Artist is highly resistant to cladosporia (olive spot) and cucumber mosaic virus. Average resistance to powdery mildew and downy mildew is also noted.
This hybrid is well suited for pickling and pickling, and is also used for fresh consumption.
Advantages of the variety: long fruiting period, resistance to diseases, high yield, marketability of fruits, uniform yield of the crop.
Of the minuses, it is worth noting the exactingness to proper nutrition.
