Cucumber variety Friendly family (F1)

A friendly family is a mid-early hybrid of a cucumber, bred by breeders of the Sedek agricultural firm. The period from germination to collection of the first fruits is 43 - 48 days. In 2003, the variety was entered into the state register of the Russian Federation. Approved for use in all regions of Russia. It is intended for cultivation in farms and in backyard garden plots. Suitable for open and protected ground (temporary film shelters, greenhouses, tunnels).

The variety is parthenocarpic (no pollination by bees is required), with a bundle arrangement of ovaries in the nodes.

Plants are medium-sized, medium-branched, indeterminate (unlimited growth of the main stem), female flowering type. Leaves are green in color, medium in size. On the main stem, 2 - 4 ovaries are formed in one leaf sinus, on the lateral shoots - 6 - 8.

Fruits are cylindrical, medium tuberous, 10 - 12 cm long, 2.8 - 3 cm in diameter, weighing 80 - 100 grams. The skin is green, with short, blurred white stripes. Frequent pubescence. The thorns are white. The pulp is firm, without bitterness. The yield of commercial cucumbers is 10.3 kg / square meter. Yields are high, stable and long-lasting (until the very frost). Fruits can be picked at the pickle stage (3 - 5 cm long).

The variety can be used as a salad, but these small cucumbers have shown themselves best in pickles and marinades.

Cucumber pluses A friendly family: unpretentious care, good taste properties of fresh and canned fruits, resistance to common cucumber diseases, high yield of marketable products.

Of the minuses, it is worth noting: the high price of seeds, the rapid outgrowth of fruits if they are not harvested on time.
