Urban cucumber is a hybrid of an early ripening cucumber, intended for growing at home - on balconies, window sills, verandas and loggias. But it is also suitable for open and protected ground - in greenhouses it gives very good yields. In 2008, it was entered in the state register of the Russian Federation for the Northern, North-Western, Central, Central Black Earth, Middle Volga, Volgo-Vyatka and North Caucasian regions. Authors of the variety: A.V. Borisov, O. N. Krylov, E.A. Orekhova, T.I. Krylova, A.V. Goryachenkov and O.R. Vostrikov. Originator - agrofirm Manul (Mytishchi).

The variety is parthenocarpic (pollination is not required), with bundle formation of ovaries. From full germination to harvesting the first fruits, 40 - 41 days pass.

The plants are highly branched, with exclusively female flowers. Leaves are green, smaller than average. In one leaf sinus, from 3 to 9 ovaries or more are formed. The stalks are long. The recommended planting density in greenhouses is 2.5 - 3 plants / square meter, in open ground - 4 - 5 plants / square meter.

Fruits are oval-cylindrical, slightly ribbed, with medium-sized tubercles, belong to the variety type Balcony... The mass of the green is 75 - 90 grams, the length is 9 - 12 cm, the diameter is 2.1 - 2.7 cm. The skin is green, with whitish longitudinal stripes. The pubescence is sparse or of medium density. The thorns are white. The yield of marketable fruits is 11 - 12 kg / m2. Long-term fruiting.

A variety for universal use. Taste of fresh fruits is good, canned fruits are high.

This hybrid is characterized by increased shade tolerance. Resistant to brown spot, cucumber mosaic virus and powdery mildew; tolerant to peronosporosis. Fruits not removed in time do not outgrow and do not barrel for a long time (retain their "finger" shape).
