Cucumber variety Kibriya (F1)

Cybria is an ultra-early ripening cucumber hybrid from the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan, bred in 2009. Designed for cultivation in the winter-spring and spring-summer turnover in greenhouses and farms. From sowing to fruiting, 35 - 45 days pass. In 2011, the variety was added to the state register of the Russian Federation for the Central and Northwest regions.

Kibriya cucumber variety

Parthenocarpic variety (no pollination required). Suitable for cultivation, both in the open field and in the greenhouse. Productivity, due to strong tying, is high. It is better to grow this crop on a net or trellis.

Plants are open, vigorous, female flowering, indeterminate (the growth of the main stem is not interrupted by the flower brush); development of lateral shoots is limited. In one leaf sinus, from 2 to 5 fruits are tied. The leaves are green, medium in size.

The main fruiting of the Kybriya cucumber is concentrated on the main stem. In this regard, a rather non-standard shaping of the bushes is recommended. First, it is necessary to blind the first 4 - 7 sinuses (depending on the timing of planting) on the main stem. Further, on the main stem, remove all lateral shoots and extra ovaries (if there are more than 3 of them in the node) up to the trellis (height - up to 2.7 m). Then the stem is thrown over the trellis and lowered down, pinching after 4 - 5 leaves. 1 - 2 side shoots of the first order are left on the trellis. Removal of the mustache is also desirable. With this formation, the plant remains open to sunlight (artificial light) and the cucumbers are poured faster. This technique is especially relevant during low light periods. The recommended planting density in this case is 2.6 - 3 plants / sq.m (2.2 - for early plantings).

It is recommended to collect Zelentsy every day. When collecting greens every other day, the number of overgrown fruits increases. At the same time, the marketable yield is reduced by 20%. The recommended length of the fruit for collection is 10 - 11 cm.

Fruits are uniform, short, oval in shape, with often spaced medium-sized tubercles; fruit length to diameter ratio - 3.2: 1. The mass of the greenery is 70 - 90 grams. The skin is deep dark green with short light stripes. The thorns are white, not prickly. The pulp is dense, juicy, without bitterness and voids. Marketable yield is 13.6 - 19.3 kg / m2, which exceeds the indicators of hybrids Courage and Alice by 2.4 - 2.6 kg / sq.m.

The variety is universal: suitable for fresh consumption, but especially good for pickling and salting.

The hybrid is characterized by unpretentious care, good regeneration after stress (low humidity, cold snaps). Possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and olive spot, medium - to the virus of common mosaic of cucumber.

Advantages of Kibriya cucumber: high taste and keeping quality of fruits.

Among the disadvantages of the variety: low resistance to root rot (pitium, rhizoctonia, fusarium), demanding nutrition, expensive seeds.
